Yeah totally agreed, and they are both insidious because both have positives they can bring to the table. Nothing much wrong with pride in your nation and thefor by proxy yourself, but there’s a problem when people start thinking they are better than others because of their nation.
Also nothing wrong with wanting social justice for all, but there’s a problem when your social justice restricts the justice of others and becomes social justice for people that persons-in-power agree with.

This of course can be taken basically anywhere as there are few things that are totally good or totally bad.
The problem is radicalism itself. In any form, radicalism is one of the major culprits for when things go bad. Nothing wrong with a bit of pride or a bit of this or that, but when people radicalise their notions is when things go to shit because that’s when things start to get violent and when common sense tends to get thrown out the window.
Funny thing though, radicalism or at the very least an obsessive compulsion towards an end, tends to be the motivating factor for change, so even radicalism isn’t inherently evil, but it’s something that people should always be wary of because of its nature to end in violence and extreme forms of the human condition.
