Sir Arthur is Ready to do Combos!

Good luck to you on this, as making a combo video for Arthur is tricky stuff, as one does not play him for his flashy combos and one-hit setups. The most damaging combo I know of that fits that bill needs you to be around the startup line, with your opponent only a superjump from the corner. Lemme break it down into:

j.s -> Dagger -> L -> M -> H -> f. H -> Hellbound Slash
-> Assist call (I use Ryu’s tatsumaki senpukyaku) -> j.S -> Scythe -> H or f.H, you have to judge which based on the distance and the hitbox)
-> S -> j.M -> j.M -> j.H -> j.S
-> Fire Bottle -> S -> j.H -> j.S (timing is tight)
-> Fire Bottle -> Goddess’ Bracelet -> Heavenly Slash. (You can link a second Bracelet in before or after the slash if you have the meter).

I forget the damage it accumulates, but it does over 490K on the start.

What progress has been made toward an Arthur TAC infinite? I think I found a starter:
[In corner] down TAC double jump upward, j.M, j.H, ax toss, land…
I’ve gotten a j.M and a j.H to connect afterward, but not much else? Can anyone with a semblance of execution finish the infinite?

Yeah i think the key is axe toss. if he gets a tac infinite he is guaranteed mid tier.

I’ve looked into it, even using xfactor. It’s possible to use axe to xfactor to land a normal just as you land for the first rep but I can’t find a loop to maintain it. The thing is he doesn’t have a normal jump loop without S. He has to end with a dagger or j.S which don’t seem to be infinite friendly. I really don’t think he has a TAC infinite, especcially without xfactor.

Actually, I am not sure if I am going to work an a full Arthur combo video.
I really wanna create tutorials for Chun-Li and Ryu, so I don’t really wanna focus on combos right now.
Also, when I do a specific character combo video, I don’t use any assists.
The combo I’ve mentioned before is Arthur and no assists.
But well, if I find out more interesting stuff, I can record and actually go for a combo video.

I actually think the axe toss is what makes it impossible. If I remember correctly TAC infinites are done because you jump the first frame you land and the game doesn’t think you’ve landed yet, but air axe toss has recovery upon landing,

You have to have just connected with a normal right before you land and jump immediately. You can’t touch the ground during a special move like axe. You can set it up with good use of axe to Xfactor so you can land a j.H on the opponent right before you hit the ground and jump again. The problem is arthur is too floaty and his jump chains are too limited to maintain an infinite as far as I can tell.

I haven’t done the whole combo fully because I keep dropping it at the Dagger Toss. I do know that it works fully though, I completed the whole combo and dropped it at the super because I canceled it too late and they hit the floor. =/

If my estimated damage is correct, it should do around 800K for a single bar.

If you are far enough away after the j.:s: knockdown from j.:qcb::h: you can actually loop :qcb::l: > :dp::h: (First hit whiffs) twice.

Hey guys. I’m having some trouble with Arthur’s midscreen bnb. After an air series I hit them with the otg bottle but usually can’t follow up with the scythe to bring them back. It usually comes out and just hits them but doesn’t bring them back. Is there a specific timing to it?

try delaying j.S a bit.

How tight is that link? Can you do this off a back throw?

Back throw is the same as front throw pretty much. This works anywhere on screen. Not too tight once you get it down, but it is easier on some characters and when you throw them closer to the ground (anything around double jump height tends to throw too far for you to combo properly).

The input is :

Air Throw > land > SJ Towards > j.S xx 236L (Dagger doesnt come out and cancels your landing recovery) > link 5L (2L also works but 5L is usually better anyway)

something for you sirs to screw around with. lvl 3 xfactor and gold armor. launch, immediate j. S, s. L , launch.

Nice work @Rikir on the air throws. Does this only work off of air throws or can convert off of a normal knockdown?

You can just sj. S to dagger into s.S for a relaunch without the bottle. That doesn’t require XF or armor. An easier XF3 one is to just land early, throw a back H, otg with S into the back h and then launch. And of course there’s the classic axe throw for relaunch with armor on.
