Well played, but can I get some tips on what to do against honda when he jumps in other than jab… as seen in that video, a lot of honda’s normals beat out limbs… the hardest shit for me is to fight a basic honda, since his normals do so much… what can i do to defend against getting rushed?

One ques: When Dic ticks you with short into throw, what is the adequate thing to do as a Sim? I try to mash strong and fierce to get the throw instead, but I haven’t had much luck with that. Any ideas?

I think it will go something like this: “Yoga fire, yoga fire, slide into impending Honda jump, throw or standing HP. Rinse and repeat”

^^^^ If Honda Jumps in with down+ forward or Short. It will beat the slide and Sim gets orochi thrown*.

fatboy I look forward to the rest of your guide. I think playing sim vs honda is the only matchup in the game where I can just lose like 50 times in a row vs a good player. The biggest problem I have is countering the buttslam when its mixed up between the different strengths, along with regular jump ins and headbutts. It seems like countering the roundhouse buttslam requires an instant reaction, but if he did a different strength buttslam, the option you chose can get beat.

Not sure if this has been added but for whatever reason, the reversal teleport bug can be “fixed” by teleporting IN THE DIRECTION OF THE CORNER.

For example, out of frustration when i was being short knee->SPD’d to death in the 1p corner, i did RDP+KKK and for whatever reason teleported out of the corner and into safety. I haven’t tested it fully to see its consistency, but I did manage to pull it off on several different occasions.

If this is true, this is a very noteworthy finding. However, your example confused me. If you were in the 1p corner and Gief was tick SPD’ing you to death, do you mean to do the teleport in the opposite direction (e.g. 2p’s corner?). If what you are saying is true, that would be the only way to get out, since, unless I’m sorely mistaken, doing LDP + KKK would just result in you teleporting backwards (and hence to the same place), since you are stuck in the same corner?

If Ryu1999 is correct, teleport. Actually, I think this topic has been brought up several times, each time with no satisfactory response.

Also, while were are on the topic of Sim counters, what do you do if Dictator does a head stomp, and then follows up by doing his floaty attack to where it hits behind you, so he can then mix up tic throws and c.lk to hit you if you’re blocking high?
