i always heard he fired her for getting knocked up
Shutter Island
House sadly looks to be headed in that direction it’s needs that last shove.
Quantum Leap finale.
Battlestar Gallactica - what a piece of shit of a finale, though this started going downhill rapidly for 80% of one season while the writers seemingly tried to figure out where they wanted everything to go. The ‘sleepers’ suddenly coming out with the lyrics to All Along The Watchtower was just fucking cringeworthy.
Riker and Troi turning off the Holodeck in the Enterprise finale.
Sonic The Hedgehog post Sonic and Knuckles.
Heroes right after they started playing around with all the time travel shit and never comitting on any of it.
Weeds where around season 4 Nancy stops being a character you care about and just an annoying bitch. Not to mention how ridiculous that show got when she started dating Esteban.
Ooooh, how could I forget about Weeds?? I really, really liked that show for the first couple of seasons and the theme song rocked! However after it moved out of the burbs and turned into a Spanish soap opera, I knew the end was near, especially when they got rid of the theme song! Also, Nancy’s skank wear was really hard to look at since she’s built like a twig.
When I watched The Spirits Within at the theatre.
FFX would come out later that year which made me forget about the movie. However, little did I know what a profound effect TSW bombing would have on Squaresoft. The Gooch was exiled and Square merges with Enix. Ten years later, and Square’s a shadow of what they were during the 90s. Why is Versus XIII not at TGS this year? That game was announced in 2006. I’m hoping they’ve lost enough money developing V13 for so long that the decision makers at SE finally hit the print money button. ie. re-make FF7 in HD.
Note: I still enjoyed X-2 and XII, and the DQ games are fun. If DQ10 shows up at TGS I can ignore V13’s absence.
Season 4 was just trash. I liked Guillermo because he had character, but when season 4 kicked off after the fire from season 3, it just took a sharp bank into stupidity.
thought the Event was great especially the finale
only thing I didn’t like
Spoiler
flu virus, felt like a scrapped concept for 24
That’s a good one! For so long I kinda wrote off some of the religious references as just annoying side stories, yet it would become pretty much the answer to everything in the show which was incredibly disappointing. If the show ended differently I might have been interested in watching Caprica.
Dexter, season 5, Lumen. So much doubt for season 6.
The finale was exactly why I didn’t bother investing any time in Caprica. I thought they would use the religious references and transfer them over into the upcoming events, but I didn’t think they would do it all so… badly…
Quantum leap I can kinda forgive because I don’t recall episodes going to shit because of the swerve.
Street Fighter 4: I didn’t understand it but damn.
MvC3: X-factor. That alone ruins what could have been a perfectly good game.
Treyarch has balance and community support. That’s all they really have. I like BO as much as MW2, but I think Trey just got lazy or something. Changing the game meant taking out the stuff people hated in MW2. Almost (Second Chance is still there). Apparently that’s it. Other than that, the killstreaks aren’t that different from MW2 and the hit detection is bad.
I don’t think MW3 will be very balanced, but I hope its BS doesn’t drag it down enough that Trey can just take the easy way out again. I want to see what they can do when they try to rock the damn boat and not just clean up after IW’s shits.
While we’re talking about games, I have one for this topic:
MVC3. When I heard about MVC3, I just went into full on hype mode. Toward its release, X-Factor and all these OTG combos were there in videos. Just right in my face dancing. I’d see Phoenix/Dark Phoenix too. My instinct was just screaming:
“You know that shit’s going to piss you off. People getting the chance to come back just because they got beat?”
“You know Dark Phoenix is going to dominate”.
“All these big ass combos you can’t get out of?”
“You know they’re going to release a ‘super’ version”.
Fuck all that. This shit was a day 1 purchase. Now, thanks to all that stuff above (and shoddy online), I rarely play. I guess I should have seen it coming. MVC2 was broken too. I just didn’t think it would get this bad. If you had told me a year ago I’d like MORTAL KOMBAT 9 more than MVC fucking 3, I’d be looking at you like you’re an alien. Guess I’m in that spaceship now. I mean, every fucking match at Evo that had Dark Phoenix in it was sad to watch. People burning off tons of meter just to get that bitch out of the way, and when they couldn’t, a win against her was rare. That’s what they did to what could have been a very great installment in the series.
Scrubs season 9. Why the fuck did that happen? The last episode of season 8 was even called “My Finale” and had the cast members clapping and hugging in the credits and then they just ignore all that and throw together another season.
The Shield: After Lem died that show just started to deteriorate.
Kinda. I loved the seventh and final season, but the sixth was the weakest. I have every season on DVD except for the sixth.
Yeah, I really wasn’t feeling the past two seasons save for the odd ep here and there. At least Season 6’s finale was pretty good I thought (not the “climax” though, just the rest of the episode).
I’m not much of an anime fan, but I do think Code Geass Season 2 needs to be on here. It’s so crazily radically different from Season 1, and signs of the changes can be seen from the first episode of the second season even…
Actually, the whole truth of what really happened between Janet Hubert-Whitten, Will Smith, and the NBC execs is not known.

[]Smith’s camp says that Huber-Whitten wanted the show to center more around her character. Huber-Whitten states that she was unhappy that the roles of the parents were lessened and the daughters were “becoming a bit slutty”.
[]NBC execs stated that her departure was due to a contract dispute. However, Hubert-Whitten stated that although she was unhappy with the initial two offers, she did agree to the 3rd, before they decided to axe her.

From what I’ve heard/read from other cast members and by just looking at the show’s direction, Will Smith was an immature little bitch during the shows run. And I can definitely see a strong woman (with great acting skills) voicing her displeasure with seeing a show that, in her eyes, could have been a positive black program, turn into the low-brow farce (helmed by Smith himself) it ultimately became.
