See that would be the loop hole. If you wanted to do Solid Snake…Smash. Samus Aran…Smash. Hiryu from Strider…MvC. Mega Man…X-Men…etc. Hell you could even do Vader and Yoda, or even DBZ! But as long as it is a charater(s) that are in a fighting game is what it should be.
My thoughts about doing this as a ‘buy-able’ ( I know that’s not a word but…). Like one of the posters said before, one or one-hundred…if we gain or charge ANY amount of money from doing this we are going to be in trouble. I say do it as a limited run just for SRK members only. Try to get them to post an ‘ad’ on the front page as to the ‘collectable’ nature of it, and give it to members. Granted we all would have to chip in for cost to get it printed, but that would be the only legal way around doing this.
Ok so we should first have a vote on the just fighters or all games. Then have a secound vote to include Vs games or not. Im just spit balling here. 
As of right now, its one picture per artist. Depending on content and size, 2 artists may share the same page. So if you want to draw a Chibi Akuma, you may end up sharing a page with someone who did a pencil doodle of Chun Li. However, if you drew Strider Hiryu running through the snow with a giant robotic monkey exploding in the background all in full mind-blowing color, then you have a pretty good shot of getting a full page.
As for subject matter, we haven’t voted on that yet. We’ll save that for the weekend.
Yeah, even though I’m personally leaning towards keeping this as fighting games only (i.e. KoF, SF, DS, etc.), we’re going to vote on it and see what the forum thinks. If the forum wants to keep it open for all games, then that’s what we’ll do. We’re also going to vote on the name of the book too.
Despite what the title says, SRK won’t be posted within this art book at all. This will be just an art book created by fans who all happen to congregate on this forum. SRK won’t even be mentioned anywhere in the book. That being the case, I seriously doubt we’ll have the artbook on SRKs front page. This is a personal art book for ourselves that we can keep forever.
What we can do is post pictures from the book when its finished on this forum to showcase what all of us can do when we have a singular vision, a passion for a hobby, and a little artistic talent. :lovin:
But… i like the idea of an SRK art book… because it’s SRK… hahaha, I’m flexable though. Any thoughts on the size of the book? And you said it would be about 25 pages, right? Thats front and back I’m assuming.
Yeah, but I don’t want to go through the trouble of asking SRK’s permission to use their name etc. Just not worth the time.
Its going to be 25-30 pages excluding the covers, and yes, there will be a front and back. I think we should put a Kablam ad either on the inside back cover, or on the back cover itself to curb costs. We’ll see.

Well it IS a SRK artbook, it just won’t be called “The SRK Artbook”, and SRK won’t appear in any part of the book.
Like I mentioned earlier, the book will be there for our personal purposes. You can show your friends, your family, or you can sell it, its totally your choice.

Here is the entire plan step by step;
1.We have a sign up to see who will participate in the book. (that’s going on now)
2.We have a poll to decide what the subject matter will be.
3.We have a thread showcasing the artwork.
4.We have a poll to determine which artwork will be on the cover.
5.We print the artbook via Kablam.
6.Those who want a copy will pay the print cost for a copy (probably around $5) and have it mailed to them. If you want more than one copy, you’ll have to pay for it.
