learn to use special move to go through it(like srk) or just walk towards him and block the fireball when he does that. He can’t shoot fireball if you’re too close.
don’t like projectiles? play 3d fighters.
or play sf3. its called parrying. tap forward when the fireballs about to hit. problem solved. teh end.
Right…
You bitch at us for not helping
and now you reply a second time not helping.
If you weren’t gonna help the first time, why didn’t you just post later, it’s not as though your little speech was all that important that you couldn’t save it til later.
_ Im not THAT new to street fighter. I’ve been playing on and off for 2 years. Every time they do that thing i can usually beat them (except for sagat cuz im usually far away then I jump over and he can do his tiger blow before i can him him V_V) but i found that when i keep doing hodoken and then do a super one, then repeat it works. I still think a sf game where the hadoken takes a little out of the super bar would be a cool idea. Its like borrowing from dragon ball z’s ki meter. I mean, alot of games borrowed from sf, so why cant it borrow something from another fighting game? If ryu is shooting ki out of his body, he doesnt have an infinite amount of it, just like in DBZ. Oh and if u dont like my comparing dbz to sf then  (except pretend his middle finger is up)
It’s a fighting game, it doesn’t have to make sense.
You still haven’t made it clear which SF game you are playing. No one can really help you unless we know what game you’re playing.
What makes your ridiculous ass so sure I could have helped him. I am a scrub, and generally not a very helpful or articulate individual.
stop not helping again.
Did you ignore our posts?
IN STREET FIGHTER THREE YOU CAN PARRY. So you can sit there all day and not take ANY damage from fireballs.
IN CVS AND CVS2 YOU CAN ROLL PAST FIREBALLS.
hahaha you suck
No. Absolutly not. And I don’t care if your little smiley face is attempting to flick me off, DBZing SF would be a terrible idea. Don’t ever even think that again.
Look, people have already explained ways to get around this, and if you still can’t do it without just throwing super fireballs back, then you must not be trying to figure it out very hard. It doesn’t matter which SF you’re playing. Start reading people’s posts, reading FAQs, and just play the game and try to become a better player. From the sound of it, the only way you can go on the better player ladder is up.

Yeah. If you’re bored & feel like being an asshole, throw them once, run to the other end of the screen, and parry fireballs for 93 seconds. Top tier tactics for top tier players!
Solve the problem YOURSELF in 5 easy steps:
Step 1: Put game on highest difficulty setting and start a single player game
Step 2: Pick random shoto character (Ryu, Ken, akuma)
Step 3: Throw fireball
Step 4: Uppercut
Step 5. Take notice and analyze exactly HOW the computer is beating you.
I am playing street fighter alpha 3… And I dont see why you are all so against the idea of having it take out a little of the bar to do a projectile attack. Yes I admit im not good at street fighter. But it is just very annoying to see the computer do NOTHING but tiger shot or hadoken. Besides, If capcom did make a game like that it might stop some of your bitching about how they never do anything new.
Eye to eye, nose to nose. Shoot them back then.
It’s been done. See Art of Fighting, and understand why that game is dogshit.
This might help:
Stop doing any special moves ureself, and try beating the computer/ure human opponents with only normal moves…not only do u practice not relying on special moves, but it will also help u understand the importance of doing special moves at critical moments. It might get boring, but it might make u understand what everyone is basically saying here.
maybe, but then we’d bitch about how shitty the idea is.
Just learn to deal with it. A projectile is the easist, most annoying, but at the sametime useful attack in all that is Street Fighter/Capcom. There are ways to get around it and even totally avoid it.
It just depends on your skill, your priority, and the person you are playing against.
Example: Some attacks can completely nullify a fireball, or avoid it. Said the Dragon Punch for Ken/Ryu/Akuma. Guile’s sonic boom can be hurricane kick’d over, and when in doubt, jump straight up. But NEVER Backwards… beware the screen scroll.
Example: You shouldn’t be blocking fireballs in SF3:3S, always parry, you’ll learn it faster and soon it will be come second nature.

The ki meter was NOT the reason why AOF sucked. It was actually the normals that dominated those games. Particularly AOF2.
Seriously, how hard is it to avoid fireballs? If you’re fullscreen, you can jump up forward to get close to them. If you’re too close so they can anti-air you if you do jump up-forward, then just jump up. After you land, walk forward a little. Rinse, repeat. Or throw your own fireballs. It’s not that hard.
