I gave Ryu the same treatment as my Sagat piece and decided to add some color!

Alright so I’m like a month and a half into my 3D program. It’s hella fustrating and there’s a lot of technical BS that takes away from the art of it all. It’s so unituitive.
So here’s my first modeling and texturing assignment.
Man is the right subject matter ever important when you’re starting out. Had it been anything else I might have thrown my pc out the window. Still need to add a reflection to the outer glass which happens to be invisible from this angle.
Anyways, thought the SRK people would appreciate this. Done in Maya 2010, Crazybump and fotoechop.

I like the kinetics in your drawings. Your characters look as if they are actually in motion- no doubt coming from your experience as an animator.

Honestly, I think the world of American comics needs someone like you- I"d buy a book from you if ya drew one. Too often comics in the us- even during action scenes- try too hard look like movie stills, which while realistic, often end up looking, well… still.
