This game is dope!

this game is going to own so fucking hard

subspace 2.0

Bump- new info + launch is just hours away!

james: i cant help but to feel like you got completely shafted by MS. I just found out that they are releasing 2 other games along with yours. All these other games get solo releases on wednesdays and gives them the chance to get the big first week sales. But then you gotta compete with 2 others. Kinda shitty, but if you come out on top, its a sweeter victory!

I just want your title to do well. Maybe I’m overreacting =/

Either way, I Will be rocking this game when i get off work tomorrow. can’t wait!

if this game takes off and does well, is there any chance it will b on psn? im not asking anytime soon, just if its theoretically possible. thx

So Quick question to someone who has played this- do you need the analog stick at all to play? I just hope to not have to unplug/replug in controllers.

I downloaded the full ver this morning, played it for a few minutes before heading out to work. Got 2 achievements already.

arstal: the left analog stick points you in a direction (not sure if D-pad can be used). The right analog stick is used for scanning items, which I believe is required to move on to the next stage.

So far, I think shooting someone in reverse is way better than shooting them while moving forward.

So far I’m digging the campaign. Haven’t had the chance to do any mp yet though.

I passed the game a few times last night, got all but 1 achievement. Had a blast with this game. Too bad there isn’t a story mode that lets you use the other ships.

Game was a bit intense at first. There was a lot of things to learn and memorize. Like all the different bars on the screen and what each one represents. There’s also all the color icons on the map. Oh yeah, FYI, on your map/radar, I believe:

Green = Health Items
Dark Blue = Weapon Power Ups
Light Blue = Hyper Jump
Bright Pink = Crystals
Red = Boost
Big Red = Enemy
Gray = Destructible Object

But after you get the hang of things, especially getting a handle on controlling your ship, the game gets really fun. I was really stoked especially when I reflected one of the boss’s multi hit projectile. Reflects can be so powerful.

As of last night, I was ranked #1 in single player score attach and I think #4 in adventure. It’s probably dropped a few ranks by now, but :rofl: :party:

Haven’t played online deathmatch yet. Dreading the 1,000 frag achievement. :bluu:

I’m going to buy this tonight. DM looks fun, and it’s always good to support fellow SRK and shit.

.

I’m going to pick this up tonight.

James, are you CRunCHed? If so, good games. And more importantly, GREAT GAME. The multiplayer is everything I wanted and more. Congratulations.

Yes, that is the Studio gamertag and one I will be using most of the time. Ya- fun stuff last night!

The game is starting of slow, probably due to the end of summer of arcade promo, the holiday and who knows what else. It will take time to build a player base and get some crazy games going. The word needs to be spread and people taught how to play that are having trouble with the control. Depth of characters and map affect something shared to get more people excited. Pretty much like any unknown newish style comp. game. So anyone playing and bummed about the lack of matches, hang in there, it will happen if we keep trying and playing.

Thanks againf for all the support!!

I’m trying to pimp it out in the 360 Thread, hopefully some people will take notice.

made the purchase last night. There’s a learning curve but there’s definitely potential here. Never was a shooter fan but gotta support the SF scene. Thanks for a new challenge. Looking forward to a growing ShredNebula community.

Shred Nebula for EVO 2k9. :tup:

DJAMES: I have a friend who is interested in the game but has difficulty controlling the ship. And what I mean by difficulty controlling the ship is that he typically plays games left-handed (i.e. in Halo 3 he flips the sticks). There are no control options that let him do this. I’m aware that it means having to creatively assign buttons elsewhere, as movement with the right stick would prevent face button usage.

As for myself, I haven’t played it much but I like what I’ve done so far. The controls are fairly intuitive and allow for a good amount of trickery (I like flying backwards through stuff). One complaint: I was looking for a training mode where I could dick around with each of the ships and was disappointed not to find one. Otherwise, I like it so far and I’ll probably try some online matches soon.

Unfortunately there is not control options to flip things because of the sheer button reassignment. My wife is left handed too, she just plays all adventure type games default. This control really is based on 3rd person adventure screen relative control, so hopefully the people struggling with it will click with it after a bit.

I really wanted a training mode for all ships, but time was killing us already. I suggest plugging in a second controller and doing split screen local to practice your ships- there are new tips on shrednebula.com.

This weekend there have been some amazing matches happening, with lots of counters and ship strategies evolving. There is a small number on the ranked boards, but those players raving about the gameplay and kicking total ass. I am really happy with the netcode, which is so smooth on 2 pings (even 1) that you cannot feel any lag.

Let me know what you all think as you play the game and tell a friend :rofl:
