I agree it is sad, worse part is 3 out of the 6 who entered aren’t even from Florida.
With this in mind I hope you can understand my frustration as a 3S player living in Florida. When I say there’s no real comp. I literally mean there’s no real comp..
I think it’s safe to say that 99% of all Florida’s players don’t even give 3S a second thought. Yeah they’ll play it casually, but they won’t take the time to learn the combo/juggle system, timing for parries, the match-ups, and so forth. To Floridians 3S is nothing more then a back-burner game that they turn to for 5 minutes if they get burned out on MvC2 or CvS2.
I hope so.
BTW if you’re up for suggestions for the next 3S tourney (which I assume is in March.) may I make some? I don’t want to tell you how to run your tournament or anything, but I think this might help improve attendance.
1.) Make the standard entry fee for Third Strike $5.00 (I know you did that this at the tournament, but it was last minute.).
2.) Have the 3S tournament start earlier, like before Marvel or CvS2. I know this may sound crazy but the minute Marvel or CvS2 starts no one cares about anything else.
Either way we’ll see how things go for 3S in the up-coming months.

Everybody else is like “I shoulda done this, shoulda beat that blah blah blah” and every other excuse. That’s bullshit. Hey Musker from Phoenix I think you need to recheck your results. I was at the Phoenix tourney and lost ONLY to combofiend 3-2 in the winners finals and 4-2 in the grand finals. And we were both missing a massive amount of customs because of the poor quality of the sticks and buttons. That would mean I finished in 2nd place, not second to last as you claim.

problem is everyone is used to 360’s and we had supers… bad transition for the players… and i wouldn’t say the sticks were bad cuz some were brand new… locals didnt have trouble with the sticks or buttons…i dunno… just my 2 cents…
