Just beat Mother 3 last night…
Damn… what a game. Nintendo of America just doesn’t understand the power of the Mother series. It’s a real shame, because this game should not have been overlooked.
i just beat it in english. beat it in japanese when it came out.
it has crossdressers, heavily implied gay sex, and drugs. doubt it’s coming to the US.
earthbound was EASILY the most overlooked title of the snes/genesis era.
ppl said it sucked, i played/beat it and literally lol’d. I still have my copy and I would not trade it for anything.
Man, I love Mother 3!! I’ve been playing through it for hours! For once, in a video game, I have not been discouraged by deaths.
Maybe thats because I’m using snapshots on my VBA GX

This man right here is intelligent, strange, and has tons of life experience to help him make his stories the way he does…
It’s not exactly one of those things that anybody can do with enough effort, or even love for the game… not too many people have the same gift that he does as far scriptwriting/storytelling…
I never played Mother games for gameplay because they all played like generic RPGs…
But if this labor of love is going to be any good, it needs alot of time to be put into it… especially the dialogue…
How many people are in this fan group anyway? The more people, the more creative ideas they can come up with I suppose…

I’ll play. I won’t expect the same experience I got from Mother 2 and 3, but it’ll be interesting to see a fan take on the series. I just hope they don’t try to emulate everything they think belongs in a Mother game and make it all feel artificial. I really do need to replay Mother 3 though. I have it on cart (and mother 1 & 2 on GBA cart too). such fun games.
