I got one while in the military the year before I went to Iraq. I always wanted to get this piece but was always iffy on getting inked. But realizing that I may never come back after the deployment I said fuck it and went for it. It was kind of crazy that night, I was almost done with being on funeral detail and recently turned 21. My buddy who is kind of crazy and was all tatted up egged me on and took me to where he got some of his work done. That night I got wasted at a punk show and I got myself cut on some stage equipment, it was only centimeters away from the fresh tattoo.
This is me on my second time being there. The tattoo was originally not filled in with ink and at first it was acceptable. A couple weeks later after noticing some areas where it needed to be fixed I then decided to fill in the sprocket.
Here is the result. I was told the hands were also used as a emblem for bob marley’s record label. But it’s sometimes funny when people see my tattoo and hear what they have to say about it. Oh and for any one who is wondering what it means, it’s suppose to mean “friends through bmx” as I was and still am heavily into riding. But now that I think about it, it’s pretty much all my friends as most of them are loyal and won’t fuck any one over.
Girls with tattoos are trashy sluts invariably.
Also, quality of gief tattoo is shit. You get it done in some garage somewhere?

i’m hesitant to do it now because i’m pretty skinny at the moment and if i ever decide to bulk up (highly unlikely) i heard it will mess up your tattoo.

I think i’m going to flatten it down to one color and see how that looks… if it looks good then I’ll get it done. If not i’ve drawn up some other bears that i might want to do.

dude thats been my exact fear of getting the tatoo…haha…like i’ve been trying to find info on if it would be fucked up but no one seems to know. Like i dont expect to be a huge guy but ive gotten into mma recently and worried if i bulked up for it id fuck it up.

I would post up some more art of mine in this thread but last time I put my tat artwork on the net I recieved mad pics of fools that got it tattoo’d because shops ripped my flash art. if I am not mistaked an original piece I made for myself now someone else on srk has it
