That sounds very expensive and possibly unnecessary. The PS360+ has the potential to work on older consoles with the correct firmware update, though the current firmware only supports 360, PS3, PSX/PS2.
If you need to have the stick working on older consoles now, then get a MC Cthulhu, 360 Fightpad/Brawlpad, and some RJ45 gear. An IMPv2 board is optional, though useful.
360 Fightpad/Brawlpad will cost aroung $30, plus small tips to solder to. If PS3360+ is around $50, I will pay extra $20 and just get PS360+ and dual mod it with MC Cthulhu. Do you think this will work? We dont even know if older consoles will be supported by PS360+.
Why would you add a Multi-Console Cthulhu to a PS360+ for the other Consoles?
Why not just start out with Multi-Console Cthulhu and Xbox 360 PCB and be done?
Doing what you say is very redundant.
Even if the Multi-Console Cthulhu is only used for anything not PS3 and PS2.
FightPad and BrawlPad have very big contacts to solder to.
You will not need to buy new soldering iron tips.
I agree, dual modding a MC Cthulhu with a PS360+ is overly redundant and overly expensive. Dual mod the MC Cthulhu with a 360 Brawlpad and boom you have every console you could want. After that is done, the PS360+ holds no additional advantage for you.
Ok, after reading many posts and other threads, I decided to go with MC Cthulhu and Brawl PCB. Thanks everyone.
Now, can I turn this thread to helping thread for me to get everything working?
Here is a question I have, I want to use both USB and RJ45 connections, is it possible to have both port available if I have 2 neturic port on my case?
Is there actual tutorial to do the dual mod with brawl pad and Cthulhu? I see there are many tutorials, but for 360TE with Cthulhu.
You can use both USB and RJ45, yes.
Both Neutrik USB and Neutrik RJ45 will wire to USB and RJ45 points of Imp v2.
You cannot use the USB Jack of Multi-Console Cthulhu in the Dual Mod.
Imp v2 controls the USB for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
You have to go through the Imp v2.
so I can have two at same time…cool. So if I want to play on older console, I can connect it to RJ45 and to play on XBOX360 or PS3 I can just plus into USB?
Am I correct?
Lots of diffrent ways.
Screw Stand offs
Zip ties and zip tie anchors
PCB feet (see eTokki and Lizard Lick for examples)
Hook and Loop material (Velcro)
Double sided foam tape.
hot glue
The only thing that touches the Multi-Console Cthulhu is the Imp v2.
Anything cable is go to the Imp v2.
I told you that above.
A short Ethernet Cable, like the one you linked to, will be used.
It will connect RJ45 Jack on Imp v2 to the backside on Neutrik RJ45.
Frontside of the RJ45 Jack is where Console Cables will connect to.
The only thing that connects to the inside of Neutrik USB is the Imp v2.
Doing by Imp v2 USB Jack to Neutrik USB using the seventeen inch cable that you did not link to.
Or soldering a short USB Cable, like from Xbox 360 PCB you mentioned, to the Imp v2, then plug into Neutrik USB.
USB A side of the Neutrik USB will go inside the Case.
This is where the other end of the USB Cable from Imp v2 will go.
USB B side of the Neutrik USB will go outside the Case.
This is where you connect the USB that will go to your Console.
