I never got into Guilty Gear. I always wanted to, but found it to be way too complicated for me. I watched videos of pros and found it hard to distinguish what was going onscreen and why they did things. So I ask if this game will be just as hard to get into (not master). There’s already a lot of starter content out there (Thanks LE DVD), and the animation is cleaner so I understand what’s happening a lot easier. Are these good signs that I can cope with the frantic pace of this game, or am I being enchanted by the awesomeness of this game?
Go for it. I am new to the series as well, but I am really enjoying the game so far. Improving is very satisfying, more than any game I have played recently.
Watch dvd, read stickies n character threads, practice combos in training mode and you should be good:tup:
Didn’t play gg but bb is much easier to get into n i’m having more fun with it then sf4.
Tell me about it, I’m starting to hate street fighter 4 with a passion. 2D for life.
I enjoy Blazblue, but I’m not in the “absolutely love it” camp either. While I have fun with the game, it just doesn’t stick to my tastes well enough for me to put the kind of time into it that I do with some other fighters. I sure hope it keeps a strong following though. The game is a joy to watch, and it’s always nice to see another really good 2-D fighter out there.
The Ken’s and Ryu’s of Blazblue are Ragna/Jin/Noel. Expect many of them. Good game nonetheless.
I never played GG and im really enjoying BB
I havent played SF4 in 2 days now … not that i hate it … ill always love the SF series … just that 4 for some reason is not sticking to me like SF2 and 3rd Strike did …
Ah well im still learning this game for now and was able to land some nice combos last night playing with someone from another forum so ya i like how the game goes so id say yes to the question if this thread
Go for it.
To be honest i was always a MK, KI and KOF man, but in the last couple of years after i picked up a PS2 I got hooked into GG because of the music (!), you get the hang eventually.
I’m still trying to properly get into the SF games though, as i didn’t bother with them since the SNES days, but i think BlazBlue is going to get all my time!
It’s a big learning curve for me, since I never touched a GG game, but so far, it’s much more enjoyable to me than SFIV ever was. I think the only downside to BB, for me, are the notations for directional commands everyone uses. I’m just being a baby about that, though.
I recently got this game never played any gg game. Honestly I feel kind of overwhelmed right now, feel like there is so much to learn and remember. Im gonna watch the bluray again and take it one step at a time. The music and art style is awesome, I do not regret getting this at all.
Yes.
End of thread.
I see more Jin and Noel players than Ragna players. I did play a level 30 Ragna that all he knew how to do was press neutral drive button for both rounds. yay easy double perfects.
…you do realize 99% of the people in here are going to say YES DO IT since you are in the BB section right?
Also are you really going to base your decision off of what a forum says? I HIGHLY recommend you try it if you are skeptical. Also please just use the Q&A thread next time.
