when you played in an arcade,you were pretty close to your opponent,so im pretty sure people can deal with sitting next to people
Obviously everyone who attends can deal with it or they wouldn’t attend. It’s about how it affects the 2 individuals, how it looks to the crowd, how it looks recorded, and how relevant it is to the culture. In America, it’s just foreign af just because it’s never how things were [not counting however EVO was in the past before my young ass got into it], and the only arcades with setups even like that are those super awesome Cali ones that actually have SF4 cabs and still have a rack of working 3s, etc. unlike most everywhere else in the the country. I’m sure I’m not the only one here who has watched those *Japanese *tournaments done entirely on f2f.
I think for concentration/respect purposes, f2f is obviously better and would be appreciated by many players, but EVO, including myself, feed off of hype sooo…
