because i felt that stick is amazing for button combinations but in terms of directional input the pad seems more accurate for me
so if I play chun or juri it would be stick but in terms of my mains ibuki, rose, cody using the pad is more important than pressing buttons.
yeah so if you’re doing the tk inputs and you’re getting her super its because you’re also attempting to do the directional inputs while you’re airborne as well, which means you’re doing too much inputs, whereas if you just get a punch its either because your input was off or you pushed the button too late
Nah im just doing a normal TKCS, I think. It works fine for akuma’s fireballs. I found the easiest thing to do was D, UP, circle back and around to the front. It does toss kunai, it does super jump, and it does not super because there are input in between making it incorrect input for super. Its working pretty well for me actually. My only thing is, I get the kunai hit, and then they recover too fast and I cannot go into a TC. Is this because I am taking too long to toss kunai? Its not always an issue, a lot of times I can do a TC. Maybe I’m just hesitant. Ibuki isn’t that safe a character. High reward high loose I guess.
I am not a pro at all, i’m below average, so i use mindgames to land ultra (or focus, lol).
But this “traps” to land U1… I have seen vids of TargetCombo lk, mk, hk straight into Ultra2. I know it is not guaranteed but is a “good” trap.
what other options are to frame trap or trick opponents into eating my ultra 1 or 2?
hmmm so I would need a wired 360 controller to drag around to tourney’s ? How quick is it ? Is it going to be a pain in the ass to sync every time I have a match ?
I need someone to kick my ass with Ibuki so I can learn her. Sure I can scan the forums find combos and so forth, but im more a visual person then I will move to those if needed. I just started playin ssf4 a week ago trying to transition from mvc2(real fuckin hard thing to do, but its goin ok) So someone come kick my ass!
Send me a message/friend req. let me know your from the site.
Very nice guide thank you very much, I’m having a hard time with SJC to ultra 2. Does anyone have a few tips ? I know it is mainly “feeling” and timing but still… ^^
Ibuki is very fun to play otherwise !
Learn all of her normals, and all of her specials. Take note of their range, properties (eg: special cancel-able, throw invincibility, projectile invincibility, generates knockdown or hard knockdown, etc.), what she sticks out for a general sense of hitbox info, the startup/active/recovery (don’t have to go by frame data, just in general know that st.LP is really fast while cr.HP is really slow, etc.), etc.
Then learn some basic hitconfirm combos. TC4 and cr.LP cr.LP st.MK are all you need, for now.
This should get you started for now. Do not bother learning vortex yet, and I don’t recommend trying to master SJC and Ibuki’s mixup game just yet. It’s more important you learn the tools that Ibuki has to play solid and get knockdowns, than learning how to freestyle once your opponent is lying on the floor.
You’ll most likely lose a lot of your initial matches with this kind of focus, but it’ll be better for you in the long run imo. Instead of going by who won or lost the match, you should go by how successful you were in your antiair game, or your ability to zone your opponent, or (whiff) punish your opponent’s pokes, etc.
