Shin Megami Tensei / Persona Series: General Discussion

Sun arcana location

Spoiler

Check the Station Square in Shibuya at night. Look for a man wearing a green sash.

All of the Sun confidant abilities are useful for negotiations.

The politician? I just started it. It seems I only have about a month to complete it as elections will be starting soon. I picked a shitty time to start it.

this mouse puzzle…gonna need a walkthrough for this cause im stumped.

edit: nevermind like most every puzzle i just wasn’t seeing something completely obvious.

I just beat the game.

PROFOUND FEELS

word of advice heal and restore your party IMMEDIATELY after the “cleaner” fight in dungeon 6.

What level were you?

looks like i got one more area to go. i really hope its short im starting to get pretty burned out

I got the first bad ending just now :0

edit : it was really shocking!

Poor Mishima. Even in other people’s social links he’s still a portrayed as a loser.

Spoiler

Futaba is goes savage him on her link over how generic and forgettable he is. I did get a kick you can respond that those traits make him a protagonist. This game is too self aware for it’s own good.

I don’t remember. I think it was lvl 70. The last dudes give a massive amount of exp.

Had to stop my “secure the treasure route in one run”-thing on the 5th palace. The manager fights were really resource intensive since they are resistant to fucking everything, and I screwed up and ended up fighting three more than I had to. Boo.

If you buy the SP recovery accessories from Tae it will be less intensive. Also, each of those managers have two weaknesses.

Oh yeah I actually bought several of those, I just forgot to equip them. Derp.

Still, went in unprepared and had to spend an additional day because of it. Too used to either spending ~10 SP in total or AoE-ing groups down with skills that don’t cost SP, which didn’t work well against groups of physical resistant enemies that spawn more physical resistant enemies. :<

I usually try a little of everything to try to find a weakness. Once I do I spam all out attacks. Certain type of enemies tend to have universal weaknesses. Any shadow with wings is usually weak to gunfire.

You can often figure it out by looking at their overall skillset as well and knowing what skillset’s usually weak to what element. Or you can just kill everything except one dude, get that guy to join you, and find out the weaknesses that way =p

I still really like just AoEing things down with physical skills. I can heal up with cheap consumables (or by using the SP of an ally that’s not even fighting post-combat), and in the rare case that I don’t kill everything in three nukes the remaining enemies usually get an affliction and won’t get return damage. It’s the least SP-intensive way to get through palaces I’ve found thus far.

Yo so who is everyone’s fave and least fave party member(s)? It can be as an actual character and/or someone you like having in battle.

As characters, I like Ryuji, Makoto and Futaba a lot.

As people in Combat, so far I use everyone about evenly but dont use Yusuke or Haru a lot.

In terms of least fave as a character it’s definitely Yusuke…like idk he was more interesting during his character arc, even with his artsy gentleman thing he just kinda fell back for me

I always kept Morgana since I need a healer. I always kept Ann because she objectively has best girl status, and I always kept Ryuji mostly because he has OG status.

I probably would have been better if I had Yusuke instead of Ann but she was kinda versatile.

I just took Ryuji off for a bit to put Ann back in. I dont have a persona with fire skill so I needed her in lol. First time Ive ever took Ryuji off :frowning:

As characters my favorites are Makoto and Futaba. For combat I switch around the characters. Makoto and Yusuke are the ones I like to use the most often. As for characters I like the least it’s definitely Ryuji. He was cool at first he started to annoy me after completing the third palace. He let shit get to his head and regressed in terms of intelligence. He becomes more of a dumbass as the story progresses.
