No, it doesn’t. Just plug and play with your USB controller or arcade stick.
Follow up question then, what sticks work? I have an 8arc thats suppose to work on PC, and its recognized as a USB stick device, but the joystick (more specifically movement) is not working. Do I need specific drivers? Is there a setup config?
I currently use either my Quanba or my TE sticks. All of which registers just fine on my PC as long as their the Xbox version.
Gotta say that I’m enjoying this game. I personally use Kannei (the ninja).
I first played the game in Japanese arcades a year ago and finally happy to get some time with it.
What I’ve noticed so far is that the game has the Street Fighter ranged attack system in it. That is, some attacks will come out based on the distance between your character and the opponent. A Far and Close attack for the same button press.
My best combo with Kannei so far has done 7780 with the Musou Ultra (236B+C): 4C (Counter-hit) > 4C > 9C > 6C > 4C (Far) > 3B > 669C > 666C > 236B+C
I’m trying to find a way to work her tag assist in. Specifically Shuyu (the older woman) assist as it can lead to a bounce attack in the middle of the juggle but costs 1 bar leaving you with up to 3 bars. Also trying to see if I can work her EX moves into it.
For those who don’t know how to hit a Musou Ultra you have to hit a Fatal Counter in order to perform the move. Different moves will perform a Fatal Counter, all of them have to hit on Counter hit, but once you land one you can immediately do a Musou Ultra or juggle and combo into it.
This 2D fighter caught my interest. I’ll totally get the PS3 port.
Ok, just me, or is Ryofu stupid powerful? I had no issue beating a Lv3 Sousou (3-0), and having a decent fight at Lv8 (with some more practice, I could manage to beat her). Yeah, I know, she’s frickin’ Lu Bu, but still…
Was able to play the game with some locals at the Baltimore Xanadu Games FG monthly meetup this weekend. There were quite a few people impressed by the game (as well as the graphics). Once you are facing against someone who knows about the Fatal Counter system it becomes very footsie oriented. There isn’t much normal hit combos in the game so no c.lk > c.lk > super. The game is very heavy into the counter hit game so you’re trying to bait your opponents a lot to land the Fatal Counter.
Hope to play some more of it at the next event.
Yo, I was there too. It was interesting to say the least. Had some fun with it even though I had pretty much no idea how to really play the game or what works
It was fun playing other people in the game for once, that’s for sure.
anyone picking this up on ps3?
PS3 version got pushed back. The new release date is unknown at this time
