*To take with a grain of salt, but I speak the truth, Soul Throw defeated a lot of jump normals, includes Ryu’s J.Sp and Zang’s J.Mk.
*There’s something off about ex soul spiral, not sure what. Maybe more range or faster startup.
*Sparks looks the same.
*New ultra fades out too quickly for my taste. Confirmed combo: Ultra 2 -> MK (should have tried slide) -> Orbs hits -> c.mp -> Soul Spiral. To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed, but will try to find out more.
*Reflect -> Soul Piede didn’t worked, tried twice. Not enough reach. Hit box is still pretty small too, but damage does looks a bit better. Maybe.

try ex soul throw vs ryu j.hk early (should already beat it deep)
try to find out how long orbs stay out for lv1 / lv2 ultra (is there a difference?)
try to find out if cl.s.mk is still unthrowable (vs abel’s ex-tornado for instance)
does U1 feel any different? faster? same recovery? same projectile invulnerability?
can people throw rose out of U2’s startup like they do dhalsim’s U1 (mashing on throw during + after the ultra flash if they were in neutral and in range beforehand)?
One thing I forgot to say, Rose took noticeable less damage from tiger shots, ex including. Maybe it’s just yet another Sagat nerf, but you never know. Another thing, I’m terrible at s.Mp -> c.MP link, but I got it twice in a row. For a system change, it looks like the ultra bar fills slower now, and I’m aware of global damage nerfs, so I don’t think I’m confused here. Everyone was at the same impression.

*The only time I got screwed with ST was when trying to hit it deep, so no changes I guess.
*The last one, I think they can’t, in fact I’m under the impression it’s a 0 frame move, so you can detect what your opponent is doing and react properly after the animation.

BTW, will also try instant overhead setups with soul sattelite, sounds promising.
Made her trials… yeah, tons of nice corner specific combos, she can put the big damage there. Not really having a lot of success midscreen for now though. I’ll try to slide or dash after reflect fadc u2, because right now the orbs won’t reach even though they can juggle.
I think the following is possible: AA U2 -> c.forward (just so they can’t reach you) -> an orb hits -> Soul Throw (may have to dash forward). If anyone could confirm this please do, I’ll only be able to play more tomorrow.
Rose looks ok for me, damage nerfs across the board really benefits our girl, so does a slightly more versatile ultra. I actually won a first to 5 against a Zang player today, yay. =D
Also, back dash was really nerfed? I’m also at the impression it’s still the same…
Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking since I heard about U2, if it plays out like I think it will in competitive matches. Just need to play the game enough to see. That move is just what she needed, something we can use creatively and something that gives her damage. I don’t understand the negativity on this forum at all. She’s better, maybe you didn’t get an overhead or guaranteed guard breaks and shit, but she’s better.
Maybe not close to top, but very good I think, U2 sure makes up for her lack of damage and defense.

Basically, what we’re seeing is that rose can hit that shit off of ANYTHING. Fireball attempt? You’re eating ultra if I plan correctly. What’s that? You didn’t know my c.mk lowers my hitbox shoto man? Well guess what…you’re ignorance has cost you some HP’s! Gimmie that ultra son!
Do you realize Rose vs Rose is gonna be BAD now? IF I bait an EX Spiral, you’re eating ultra. Jump back HP, Ultra 2 activation.
The real question is if you can OS her. Jump in HP OS Fierce SRK. How will that go?
I have mixed feelings, as I reported, I defeated some jumpins attempt with it, mainly Ryu’s and Zang’s, but yesterday, Guy and Chun would just kick me on the face as usual. So, only damage may be buffed. Which is ok, psychic ST becomes a high risk/reward now, and there’s aways the modest but still useful ex version that also has more damage.
U2 is an awesome anti air and can be followed by Soul Throw though, so Rose’s defence is good now. U2 is really good. You guys will see. She kinda of lost that annoying console/low tier character vibe and looks more like a normal character that actually got some development time.
I’ll play more today and I’ll check if her c.HP is doing a better job as AA.
