Ya im excited to be able to connect the ultra off a move now. So many times i am winning and lose to a simple move into a ultra from someone else when half the cast cant connect their ultra like that. Hope everyone gets this option since it will balance off the cast being able to connect one of their ultras.

Reflect -> FADC -> U1 was not my top pick for Rose improvements, but I’ll gladly take it. IMO, that is a lot of work to connect an ultra that can be hit clean as punishment/AA fairly easily. Connecting it without spending 2 stock would be amazing though.
Do any of you gurus know if damage scaling applies as normal to U2?
Any speculation as to what makes the orbs vanish, such as taking damage or the opponent blocking?

it’s confirmed ( as far as we know) that the satellite can be blocked ( and disappear on block, with chip damage)
Its doesn’t seams to be timed , since there no time bar.

Well reports said in the begining that you needed to reflect FDAC into ST, but now you dont anymore. So dont see why you would need to FDAC into U1. Cause if they are in juggle state, prob just need to time them coming down to get the shamwow to hit.
But thats just my guess as of now.
What about on a trade? Can Rose ultra on a trade now?
I’ve no idea about Rose, but the section for Ryu says:

What the hell would Rose be able to trade into ultra with? Reflect? Any time I’ve used that in offense, either the target, or me gets hit. there’s no trade. Let trade ultras die with SF4.
f.hk on trade, is almost like Ryu. The only difference is that you cant ultra, of course. You an throw an EX Soul Spark after that or a Super, I believe.

Eh its bound to happen if she has good shit. She’s unpopular now because she doesnt.
Doubt that will happen, after reading Kens SRK got stronger. Its easier for people to mash out so prob will be kens more then anything. Giving time, it will just be Ryus, Sagats and Dudleys left after 2 months of playing, unless some other toon dominates the community.
Rose may have been buffed but still going to need to put work into her, wont be a free win just cause she can reflect into a U1 or ST… i dunno, just dont see a lot of people putting work into her when there is others getting bufffed too which people have been waiting for.
I just want variety online with all these new characters, as of now all i fight is ryus and sagats online. Hope the balance is there where people can pick any toon and do well, and not give up and play the one who dominates the game. Time will only tell.
Edit: Oh and i forgot, minute someone wins evo or some other big tourny with a toon everyone will be that toon toon. My guess its Dan, since he will be the new Ryu! lol

Well, if Rose gets more love there is a far bigger chance she will be in future games, and I’m all for that.
That being said, like someone else already explained, being able to combo into Ultra I and being able to use reflect to ST isn’t going to make Rose a great character, it’s just going to make her better.
