Still way too many excuses, dayum.
hey man…Emblemlord is a beast. I got 2 rounds on him…out of…::Thinks:: 62? I think I did play some dan, but wow…he beat me 60 rounds
wooow EL is beating every Rose outta here. we should ban him from Rose forum…
I second that.
This is gonna help you dudes level up.
That means you gotta face me more…! BWAHAHAHA!
Holy shit.
Rounds…not matches…rounds. lolol. Don’t get too crazy up in here. I won about 27 or 28 matches straight. So with the rounds set to 3…actually that’s more then 60 rounds. That’s about 80 something rounds hahah. >_>
Sorry, Kail. T_T
no worries man. I’m real about my skill.
Me too.
I fuckin suck at this game.
Remind me to stab you in the heart.
I sent Justin a question about Rose for his little Q&A thing he does on his site. Here’s what he said:
Purify (NC) Question
What does Rose need in the next game? I also wanted to hear some more details on your experience playing her, what you think are her real faults and how/if she can be improved without adding something that could potentially break her (things like these would be too good: Soul Illusion, soul throw always wins, pushback on fireballs, Alpha 2 crouch strong, etc.) I?ve been playing her in local tournaments with decent results, but most wins probably come from people not knowing they should just disrespect her all day/matchup unfamiliarity.
JWonggg Answer
Rose needs alot of stuff. She needs A2 crouch strong, soul illusion would be too cheap for this game. But give her more dmg and a good wake up option. Her ex soul drill is a nice wake up option, but you can punish it on block which sucks. My experience is that she has no mixups and I feel that they best way playing her is to play super defensive since she really has no mixups and her damage output isn?t that great. So the best way is to just use her far normals to do the dmg. But she loses to character that can simply just rush her down 24/7
Justin sounds like someone who hasnt spent a whole lot of time with Rose. She doesnt need an abusable normal (aka A2 c.strong) and she doesnt need alot of stuff. She does lose to rush down but we know why and how to remedy that.
That’s pretty much what I thought too.
A2 crouch strong, more damage, safe EX drill…lol sure man.
Imagine that
I got a question about her hit boxes while using SSpark, do they seem odd to you guy’s. What i mean by this is somethimes when i use SSpark people traded(they hit me but land on the spark) with it or have flat beat it by catching her hand.Sometimes it looks like her hand keeps hit boxes from the Spark on it so they will hit her hand like it was a spark.( they may just be hitting the SSpark as it is usally pretty close when this happens)
I know she has had problems with this in the Alpha series but it wasn’t a little little better due to the push back and was thinking if make the hit box on her hand and arm smaller(about half of her forearm or none of it) would be nessicary.
L> For non-laggy Sagat fights.
Sagat can play wake up games with Rose to.
He whiffs a TU. Well, who cares, he’s not gonna lose more than 1/10th of his bar anyway.
KazDa973, in the Alpha series, the hitbox of Soul Spark was really large because of the pushback effect. The fierce version extended it to nearly half the screen like a Dhalsim limb.
In Street Fighter IV, though, I think all of the Soul Spark variants share the same extended hitbox, but I don’t have enough experience getting hit by it to know for sure.
Oh no i wasn’t talking about the actual Spark i ment the hitbox on rose’s Arm and hand when using it. It seems pretty big and I wanted know if i was the only one that thought it should be made smaller or removed.
this is because we as rose players play against sagat the same way we play most others. I fight sagat like I fight ryu. Not good.
Ryu I can get away with letting a srk go unpunished. But sagat… Every bit counts. You better ultra him when he wiffs one. If you don’t, your a fool. My current goal vs sagat is to beat emblemlords sagat, one match…3 rounds. The one match I was 15% from a win…I kicked myself because I didn’t ultra him on a whiffed tu. I saw it immediately… And lost shortly after.
So a whiffed tu only 1/10th of his bar. Maybe. But for the most part you should be using hk > drill. I believe that’s her most damaging, less risk combo. I mean you could do some for more, but the risk is great. We can’t afford c.mp xx drills, or sweeps, or throws.
