"Sherlock Holmes II, baby!..." - Phoenix Wright Combos

Ok, the longest string I can get with 1 meter is what you said, replacing crouch :h: with light-bulb. Then, you can actually stick a light paperwork low right before Maya, relaunch into :h: :s: . The opponent flips out if you add the 2nd :h:. This does 617500 dmg.

The best damage I can get with this combo is around 733,300 with 2 bars. Instead of using low paper, I cancel directly into maya super, relaunch to :h: :h: :s: judge super.

Alright, thanks.

From all the tests I’ve run, here are the potential ending options after stun.

lightbulb to maya to relaunch :h: :h: :s: 614000 (add judge super for 733300)
lightbulb to paper to maya to relaunch :h: :s: 617500
lightbulb to judge : 624000

Guessing it builds 1 meter during execution. I’ll try to run it up to 650k with just Maya tomorrow. Maybe turn it into a reset after Maya or something for an AA :l:/air grab into Judge/Slip-Up into Judge mix-up.

I use Doom rocks for phoenix wright because I found it has a really nice wall of protection when you do rocks and maya shield. Protects against all tracking teleports and almost all jumpins.

For this setup I have a neat combo that has both a stance change and also causes stun starting from 0 stun count and investigation mode.
Goes as follows:

cr. :l:, :m:, :h:, Doom rocks, :f: :h: xx stance change, dash forward, j. :h:, j. :d: :h:, j. :s: (whiff), :h:, :h:, :f: :h:
Gets you full stun from a standing objection and you can continue the combo as you like.

I have the defensive part down pretty nicely with the Rocks, but I’m having trouble dealing damage on the offense when in turnabout mode or trial mode. How do you guys deal with chicken block/runaway to waste turnabout?
P.S. I usually don’t switch him out when hes in Turnabout except if hes low on health.

In the corner you can combo off an air forward throw in trial and turnabout mode with j.:h:. You can easily drag the opponent to the corner by pressuring with the fingers and evidence in turnabout.
In trial mode I like to play keepaway and force the opponent to make a mistake. Use your assists and pressure with the pieces of evidence. In turnabout you can usually chip a character to dead, but this is not as effective against full health characters. You can also force the opponent to burn X factor in this way, but, again, I would try to open them up since it’s easy enough to ToD people in turnabout, even from a throw.
You can also do a Maya super and time an unblockable if the opponent does not use advanced guard. I don’t remember if PW is affected by pushblock if Maya attacks, but I’m guessing it does, so this option is rather lacking.

Actually, PW can’t get pushblocked from using Maya’s super. It’s a free approach for him.

:open_mouth: then it’s a perfectly good idea to call Maya and time an unblockable! Excellent.

Edit: Advanced guard might still be able to screw it up, though.

How so? You can’t advance guard through high/low mix-ups, only cross-ups.

Oh, sorry, I thought the added pushblock from Advanced Guard also autoguarded High/Low mixups. I guess not (which is good news to PW in this matter anyways). Thanks for clarifying that, Poltergust.

Came up with a way to combo into Objection while in courtroom off an overhead with Zero’s assist. Don’t know how often I’ll be using this personally, but more options is always good right?

This is a Turnabout combo I’ve been working on. (Corner)
794k::l:(or c:l:), s :m:, :h: , :qcb: :h:, j.:h:, :f: + :h: (OBJECTION), :dp: :l:,:b: , :s:, sj., j:d: + :h:, :d: +:h:, :atk: :atk: :qcf: (Steel Samurai Maya Smelting!)
This combo can use the Order in the court instead of maya smelting for 849k.
Also after Maya Smelting you can use :f: + :h: into :dp: :atk::atk: (Ace Attorney) for a Thor killing 1 million 391k.

This combo can be used into a basic Trial to turnabout combo. I would sugest :l:, :m:, :h:, :h: (lightbulb) :f: + :h: (Objection). as it causes the least amount of hit decay and stun.
I’m still working on its mid-screen varient which is a little harder to perform as you have to dash foward during the :h: paperwork. and also getting the character into the corner to perform the rest of the combo. I’m trying to use Maya Smelting to get them into the corner, wave dash and perform the combo from up to Break the Witness and use Order in the court at the end.

Something that I expiermented for like 3 mins yesterday and want to do more of today, is XF canceling Order in the Court in Courtroom and Turnabout Mode. I know just easily, if you only have two bars in Turnabout you can XF cancel Order for a simple relaunch into another one for about 900+ damage with Lv2 XF. But I’d like to see so more of what you can do by XFC Order in Courtroom mode.

If anyone’s already explored these opportunities, what have you come up with?

In Courtroom mode (with 3 good evidence), you can Order in the Court XFC, stance change, s :h:-:h:, Objection, then do your favorite combo and easily get the 1 300 000 damage with only one bar and a Xfactor lvl 1.

Edit : I don’t get it… Phoenix Wright does the same damage in Turnabout Xfactor lvl 1, 2 and 3 ? Since when ?

Huh? Who told you that? He gets different boosts from different levels of X-Factor like any other character.

Nobody told me that, I’m in the training mode since 1 hour.
Do any combo you want in X factor lvl 1 + Turnabout, then do the same in X factor lvl 3 + turnabout, you’ll get the same amount of damage, the speed ratio only changes, I’m not crazy ><
Maybe it’s because of the patch from today ?

…You’re kidding. They nerfed PW AGAIN!?

No it’s not a nerf, it’s a buff, X factor lvl 1 becomes a X factor lvl 3 in terms of damage :X
I just tried in versus mode, it works I’m sure

Oh, I thought it was the other way around. phew

The trail to turnabout combo doesn’t work if the opponent is crouching, it should be modified to this: cr. :l:, cr. :m:, cr. :h:, cr. :h: xx :d::db::b: :l: (light paperwork low), :h:, :h:, :f:+:h: (objection)

My continuation combo from there (or regular combo starting) is :
j. :h:, :s:, j :m:, j :m:, j :h:, j :d:+:h:, land :s:, j :m:, j :m:, j :h:, j :d:+:h:, land, cr :h:, (j :d:+:h: if position allows), cr :h:, :f:+:h: xx Maya Super.
There some stuff after Maya Super too but don’t really need much to kill a guy after that.
