{ ShellExecute ('Iron_Avenger.exe') } //UMvC3 Iron Man combo thread

after the jump loop (jMjMjdHjS) do cr.:m: > s.:h: > :s: + :a1: > sj. …
midscreen you can dash after your OTG Smart Bombs and do Repulsar then

Are drones the only way to consistently get double repulsar?

I can get two L Repulsors with Charging Star, but it’s pretty tight.

No, you can get it with many assists.

I’ve been wondering duck do you have any secret to the corner throw combo you posted the one time with the repulsar into jump loop? I can get it often once I get a rhythm going but I have a tough time figuring out exactly what the mistake is when it drops.

I could never get the s.H to link after the first jump loop. It seems like you have to delay the j.S a ton to get it to work.

There was an Iron Man combo video where I saw two things I hadn’t thought of before. The first was linking Iron Man’s launcher after a Repulsor Spread in the corner which would probably work with Duck Strong’s corner combo. The other cool thing was after a combo into Iron Avenger after a raw Avenger, Unibeam xx Avenger or Spread xx Avenger, you double dash and then do TK L Smart Bombs which gives you a jump loop and then c.M, S which probably adds to the damage of the combo quite a bit, and gives you more meter.

I’m also semi-consistent with infinites now, put off practicing them for whatever reason but they really are quite easy once you get the starter down. Midscreen Up TAC one is kind of a bitch though.

Shrug, it’s mostly timing. I never claimed it was practical .

The two important parts are waiting a little bit before doing the burst off the first repulsor and delaying the j.:s: after the j :d:+:h: in the first loop.

I don’t think it works off his backthrow either.

Really though, his other combos off throw do marginally less damage, that one is just for style. As long as you get a couple of rockets in and some repulsors, you’ll get decent damage.

As far as launching after spread, I put that in a combo video well over a year ago and I doubt I was the first to do it. It’s nothing new.

I actually have it down really solidly now, just nice to be optimal when i land so many forward throws as is.

I found the throw combo to be extremely consistent if I omitted the s.H and went right into repulsor instead after j.S. It’s my go to corner throw combo ever since I made that slight change.

So, I fucking around with Guardbreak setups with She-hulk and ironman, got bored and decided to find something useless.
Along the finding something useless, I somehow managed to get 818k off a corner forward throw for 1 bar plus She-hulk assist. but, I can’t remember for the life of me how I did it. I don’t even know if that’s good. Anyway, have this useless shit.

Anybody know of a combo with Dr. Strange’s Bolts assist that lets me get in two Repulsor Spreads? This is the combo I’ve been using so far.

c.LM, s.H, c.H, Fly, j.MMH d.HS, j.MM d.HS, c.M, s.S, j.MMH d.HS, call Bolts, Smart Bomb L, Repulsor Blast H > Spread, Smart Bomb L > Proton Cannon.

The Bolts don’t give me enough time to dash in before doing Repulsor Blast, so it doesn’t carry them high enough to do another one. Maybe if I shorten the combo?

Maybe you can do something in the corner with the SJ combo with the down dash H > UF jump loop > Bolts + RB > RB > etc?

I assume you would have to manage to catch them in the 2nd bolt off the RB spread for that to work.

I know X23 has some bolts extensions where you do s+bolts > short air combo into flying screen > bounce off 2nd bolt > relaunch. There might be some variation of that tech that applies to IM?

Here are some treats for you people.
I tried putting in as many Repulsor Blasts as possible.
The order is 4, 5 and 6.
The 5 one is basicly the most practical since its fairly easy and dmg 866k with one bar.

Fun stuff. Have you tried throwing in Ammy’s Veil of Mist or Joe’s Slowjob before starting?

[S]Not really since I know close to nothing about those characters hehe…[/S]
[S]And I am tired so I didn’t think of that ^^[/S]

[S]I will try it but why I am able to do 6 RBs without xfac is because 4 of them are cancled immediately after 1 hit from the beam.[/S]
[S]If I keep them longer in the RB, they will either reset or just be too low to the ground for the second RB.[/S]
[S]As showed in the last video, I had to start with d.h into h.RB which took them higher in the air.[/S]
[S]The thing there is that at around 40-45 in hits, the character resets even tho its xfac-lvl3.[/S]

[S]I will try and might upload a new video tomorrow when I go into the lab with ammy/joe/Ironman but as of what I’ve tried without slowdown,[/S]
[S]the scaling is too big. But I will try anyways :3[/S]

[S][edit]: To even be able to do 6, I had to have a wallbounce assist. Spencers assist was to short so I picked Iron Fist instead since he goes almost fullscreen with that kick.
[/S]I was wrong.

It’s pretty easy to get like 8 or 9 off throw sorry to say.

Thats what I get for not checking my data ^^
Well I were inspired by you to do these vids, Danke…
So I am a little honored hearing that from you lol.

Keep looking man, you can get 3 repulsars in a row after x factoring any repulsar by dashing under, and missiles should be giving you two. It’s always a good exercise to mess around in training mode, sorry for sounding condescending.

Dont worry, I take it more as constructive critique to become better.
Since I’ve started playing Iron Man yesterday, I cant do anything but to learn from the people that know more about him than I do.

Something I wanna discuss. What’s everyone’s favorite/go to air to air combo with Iron Man? Mine is this one:

j.H xx ADF j.H xx Fly, j.H xx ADF, j.H, j.dH xx ADD j.dH, j.S, jump loop into c.M, S air series or L Repulsor Blast xx either hyper depending on height of the opponent

Credit for that one goes to DapVip.

I wanna know what other people use. I like practicing air to airs, I feel like killing people at SJ height from really far away is one of the few (if only) things Iron Man can do better than other characters.
