I would go with jam session simply cause she-hulk has issues dealing with air attacks and jam session would prolly help her out.
I’ve been trying out the JWong team(She-Hulk a, Ammy B, Tron B) for the past two days, and I have trouble getting in against zoners. Any help?
Sorry bro can’t help you, that team isn’t very good at getting in, justin is just that damn good. Especially with shulk on point, you can switch ammy on point to deal with zoners if u want.
Tron assist is used for rushing down, putting pressure, or defending rush downs. Ammy’s cold star is what you use to get in on zoners. No one is perfect at shoving out projectiles, just time you’re approaches and get in with a kara grab or mixups. I know getting advanced guarded sucks balls and you start back from square 1, but that is pretty much how its gonna be using Shulk and Tron with no real projectiles.
I’m currently using Shulk/Task/Tron btw or Shulk/Sent/Tron for shits n giggles
Yo been considering she-hulk/spider-man/akuma, she-hulk and akuma seem like a very nice pair since she can hit confirm off it from certain ranges, it pushes the opponent to the corner real quick and it helps her deal with zoners, plus akuma is an amazing anchor. Spider-man is just there because, well I have always wanted to build a spidey team and I think she-hulks slide assist might do him some favors but Im not sure if any of his assists really help her out. The only issue I can see with this team is our beloved phoenix, since I can imagine both she-hulk and spidey will kinda struggle against her and even akuma might struggle against her.
What do y’all think though? Any weaknesses, input?
I’m starting to think the perfect team setup is She-Hulk a, [Insert Character She-Hulk can DHC into], Sentinel a.
Drones are all she needs. Second character can use She-Hulk’s OTG to extend combos…
Its never really that straight forward, I mean drones are all fine and dandy, but gustaff flame gives her some nice mix-up since it doesn’t keep em in block stun for very long. On the flip side jam session gives her some much needed aerial control, while lariat and tatsu are just a good assists for anyone. With that said I definitely think drones really help her out as well and Im honestly surprised we haven’t seen that many she-hulk/sentinel combinations, I mean since drones aren’t a true block string, shulk should be able to command grab them in between hits If im not mistaken.
That’s my team! I run Hulk (b) / Shulk (a) / Task (a). I think the synergy is great.
I usually start the match with Hulk unless I see they have a point character that dominates him (mostly strong keepaway), in which case I’ll hot swap Shulk in on point. Assuming Hulk starts though, my first order of business with him is landing a combo into a down aerial exchange to Shulk into her OTG into Emerald Cannon, DHC’d back into Hulk’s Gamma Crush. If you DHC right on the impact of the second hit of Emerald Cannon, Gamma Crush will hit on the way up and on the way down. This combo hits for about 800k, only takes one meter total (since the down exchange gives you one) and keeps Hulk on point. After Hulk has taken some damage I either end the combo with Emerald Cannon (no DHC) into OTG torpedo into reset, keeping Shulk on point, or wait for them to jump at me then DHC from Gamma Crush into Shulk’s anti-air grab hyper.
With Shulk on point I use Task’s arrows to help me get in and use Hulk’s Gamma Crush as a get-off-me button. You can DHC the second hit of Emerald Cannon into Task’s up arrows or the third hit into Task’s horizontal arrows. Task’s horizontal arrows also DHC from Gamma Crush, so if you’re really trying to kill a character you can combo into Emerald Cannon, DHC to Gamma Crush, DHC to horizontal arrows, xfactor horizontal arrows.
With Task you can use his air down arrows combined with Shulk’s torpedo assist to get relaunches on his combos, but the timing is kinda tricky. Hulk’s other assists also work for this purpose but I like his beta assist too much.
Finally found the team I was looking for. She-Hulk(A)/Mag(A)/Tron(B)
I wanted a team that could do the following
I do dislike having tron last though, when I’m sitting on tron by herself versus a team of 3 full hp chars I don’t imagine me reverse OCVing anyone, but I suppose I shouldn’t get to that point in the first place.
Shulk/Mags/Hsien-Ko (first character, but hard tag after super armor and gong)
Shulk/Chun/Mags
Shulk/X-23/Hsien-Ko (hard tag)
@paper I’ve used that team before but my magneto is free as hell. mags disruptor beam helps shulk alot from full screen. I also use tron as anchor though and at times it is pretty tuff, but tron w/ x-factor lvl 3 is beast, just time your dashes, super jump and drill to get across screen, or what i love to do is dash jump dash S…comes out really quick and you catch most people off guard or whiffing a move.

Edit: there’s a part 2 there that starts off with more Shulk vs Magneto, my friend krisron went back to his original button layout mvc2 style (coming from type B settings)… therefore owning me with his more comfortable button layout
I’d like to add Magneto or Taskmaster to my team in place of Akuma but I suck with both and Magneto doesn’t solve the Dies in 1 Combo problem that Akuma has.

ehh not much I feel I can learn from that. I’m sure I’m much better than the She-hulk and mag players. Learned some stuff about tron though, she’s probably my weakest character at the moment.
I’ve decided to switch the team around to She-Hulk/Tron/Mag
Since people just seem to block a lot against my tron I figure I can try to land a command throw then use tron’s OTG + EMD assist to go into a launch combo.
I’m going to miss SJing above the opponent, magnetic tempesting and DHCing into a level 3 command throw with tron or shulk though.
Anyone find Doom beam assist very helpful? Or is the knockdown on hit a deal breaker? I’ve been thinking Shulk and Zero could make a great pair, but then they have to share an enabler assist, so I’d need one that they can both abuse. Thus far I’m thinking Doom beam or Sent Drones.
Sent drones seem to work pretty well with she-hulk since it forces them to either jump or block, two things shulk can really capitalize on. For now though Im seriously considering paring shulk with spencer, just came up with this sick reset, you otg torpedo into slant shot. From there you can continue the combo but if you pause for a second they will leave hit stun, but be in a standing state. From here shulk can c.:l:, :qcf::l:, :qcf:, and whatever other options she has. Now I will admit I haven’t actually tested this out with shulk, had it work with haggar and figured it would prolly be just as effective with her.
Howabout Doom beam? Any track record of success for Shulk abusing that?
Does Iron Man’s beam keep the opponent standing?
Well its one of the best beam assists in the game and she-hulk needs a beam assist so Im pretty sure it’ll help her out. Only issue is once she is in, it doesn’t really help her out very much. Honestly id go with hidden missles, simply because it makes the opponent think twice about not blocking and she-hulk can seriously take advantage of that.

Problem is I’m looking to partner Shulk w/ Zero, and Doom beam is aces for him. I’m likely gonna go w/ dones tho. The point you made, jak, about being able to grab between drones is intriguing. Even if it ends up not practical (havent tried it yet), its a cool idea! Not to say thats the only reason Ill prob go w/ Sent, but it helped to break the tie
