Eh it has the DP priority but the recovery is insane so its not anywhere near hulk’s gamma anti-air.

So back into Marvel and still trying to main my favorite character. Any advice on the timing of the spencer assist reset that combofiend does? Where he does torpedo into spencer assist into clothesline. Try as I might I can’t get the spencer assist to connect. Any help on the timing?

Also what characters are you guys using to extend she hulk combos? I find a big problem with her is she doesn’t output enough damage by herself without relaunches.

the inputs for spencer assist combo is :d: + assist :d::s::f::l::d::d::s::f::m: also even though its a little time consuming I would suggest look back through the forums ta check the tech. a lot of she-hulks combos are more about resets or converting of air grabs witch is very dependant on ur team/assists , although the new dr. strange nonsense deffinantly makes her more viable

I can train you with my glorious She Hulk. To do the spencer reset you have to call spencer when you’re doing the inputs for runner’s start since you can’t call him anymore during chariot. It’s almost precisely during the down inputs, otherwise he will come out too early or too late if you delay your runner’s start too much. If you’re on Xbox we can play and you can learn off my timing.

She-hulk is not a character that goes for damage but for resets…you build more meter that way, and you still get the job done…

What is the new Dr. Strange nonsense? I’m considering running strange on anchor with she hulk on point.

its really good because it means shehulk can kill if she touches u. also a lot of people try to duck bolts witch leaves them open to her over heads/command grabs, and if the stand block it then they can get clipped in the feet . if they try to chicken block it they will get scooped buy shehulk so yeah at this point in time im gunna have to say shehulk/spencer/dr.strange is the best shehulk team

NAH She-hulk/Spencer/Tron is da best. Close follow-up is this team, and she-hulk/spencer/frank west.

the world may never know… though seriously im looking to get some sets in today. If anybody wants to play and level up eachothers she-hulk…im down, my gamertag is in my description.

i randomly did something with she-hulk and boulder assist one day in training mode and i wonder if it’s what you’re thinking about, but honestly i don’t even remember what it was. it was some kind of setup and all i remember was going, “oh thats cool” but then going back to character select cuz i have borderline ADD. i got a super low air tech off it or something. maybe like guaranteed anti air throw. cuz i think if the boulder hits someone in the air you get a soft knockdown.

idk it was something like that

regarding the somersault+ assist though. i primarily run jill but she-hulk is like my major secondary and i liked to pretend that jill and she-hulk have synergy, but it turns out they kind of do in a weird way. i used to run a setup in the corner with jill on point where i could force a tech while calling she hulk. what would happen was, no matter how they tech, she hulk comes out and she’s so tall, leaps so high, and curves backwards in such a way that it forces them into blockstun, and then pulls them straight down while in blockstun. so basically i get to end the combo with a free mixup on their way down. it was very unique and i haven’t seen ppl running anything similar, but it’s basically a derp version of a marvel 2 style reset. now there are ways out ofc, but its fast and tricky enough. you’re never blocking it the first time and you can mixups with baits and stuff down the road.

i’m sure other characters can take advantage of this concept as well.

you sure they don’t spin too high for jill to reach them?

For the tron bonne part:that is another broken aspect for incoming mix-ups, but i already found that out. there is something more nasty then that, similar to what you are trying to do with jill and she-hulk.

EDIT: im still testing this, but it seems that bandit boulder puts you into an extended period of block stun. The block stun starts from the 4 active frame( right when she starts to bring her arm up) and continues till the the boulder is released. this then leads to a whole host of of mix-ups and nasty, nasty set-ups. Plus whenever a character is coming in, catapult into boulder bandit brings them down to your level. you could even use senton cause it has armor! this assist also destroy’s projectiles!!! also from when tron brings her arm up.

I’ve been running Shulk/strange/dorm as my secondary team and it is rediculous, for any shulk/strange players out there, just in case you are not already doing this, when you do a command grab dont switch into strange right away you should do the run into clothesline, not only does it add more damage it also makes the falteen loops a little more organized. It can push them to the corner with the run if you are close enough(delay the m for clothesline). with black hole assist being used much like the bandit boulder for blockstun mixup’s as the posters above me. And with all of that you still have level 3 xfactor dorm just in case. Or a doctor strange super into xfactor for and character death

Im having a blast with shulk, a combo i saw someone online doing the other day was interesting
it was a midscreen command grab combo setup for a reset. maybe you all have seen this and are ahead of me, i dunno.

But it was command grab, clothesline,runningstart cancel into her elbow drop move then when they bounce go into mhs air loops(x2) and after your second air loop they tech out in the air in a perfect position to AA command grab either super or just the m version. i thought it was slick

Has anyone tried Kara cancelling her lamp post for mixups?

I dunno if it is applicable during an actual match (since I just picked her up and am feeling her out) but some hypothetical options might be:

Lamp post (hit) -> (cancel into) run, run stop -> cr H - S - combo of choice OR if you are in the corner you don’t even have to run/run stop.

Lamp post -> (kara cancel before it hits) command grab H -> combo of choice

I’m really interested in She Hulk since she reminds me of Guy in SF. :smiley:

I find the lamppost to be one of the worst nerfs she could’ve gotten. This is especially applicable in a tech throw battle. You will always lose because she’ll try to lamp post. Unlike Tasky, who gets Shield Skill, which nullifies projectiles and is just amazing on its own with its crazy priority, She Hulk gets a forever startup wallbouncing technique. It’s only use is for flashiness. Even if you can time the Kara right, which is after she has dragged the lamp post a little to her side, it’s not really worth it. You’re better off wiffing normals and canceling them into grabs.

Yeah I tried implementing the lamppost in a couple matches but like you said the start up really makes the move hard to use.

I don’t know if an assist would help cover the start up or (like you said) if it is even worth considering.

Or maybe this could be used on an opponent’s wakeup?

It just looks really cool so I thought it would be nice to use in a combo. :wink:

Thanks for the reply, I’ll check around the forums for more She Hulk knowledge. Trying to find the best way to get in on my opponents/things I should be practicing to get better with her.

I’m a veteran She-Hulk player. You want to practice your grabs and Chariot cancels. Learn how to read pushblocks and use those as grab attempts. Get your resets down as well. Remember that hitstun varies from character to character on Torpedo. I found that you can Torpedo Sentinel 3 times in a row. Adversely, you can only do one Torpedo on Rocket Raccoon and sometimes Shuma-Gorath(he is so stupid I swear why are his physical properties dumb) before he flips out. This is after an air grab by the way. She-Hulk is a rush down grappler. It’s the only efficient way to use her. If you create too much distance you may get zoned out really easily. I’ve learned that from facing so many zoners. That AA grap hyper is useful, even just to get her out as well. You wanna make sure that at least one character on your team has a beam or projectiles to cover her if she’s getting zoned out heavily. Are you an XBL or PSN player?
