can you talk about painwheel mechanics now Mike? if so, how exactly does her charge stuff work? can she absorb any number of hits? or is there a hit number/damage break on it?
also flying, you mentioned it wouldnt be regular boring flight, can you elaborate?
Whatâs this I hear about there being no European publisher? Admittedly I donât know the intricate details of the game industry, but since this is a download title, what does that even mean, Konami need another company to push the publish button outside of the US or what? Essentially, as I am in the UK, what will I have to do to get this game?
LA!
What are the full list of universal commands? (tags, assists, throws, etc.)
I also have a couple of suggestions. You mention that you donât want to add things for single characters that canât be used when in a team to help newbies, maybe just donât display red life in that situation, as it could lead to confusion.
Also, in training mode, I am assuming there is an input display. Could you add an option to change the arrows to numbers so those that prefer or are trying to get used to numerical notation can be looked after? An option a la Soul Calibur to switch between controller buttons and âgameâ buttons would also be handy.
Personally I like using âgameâ buttons regardless of game/system/etc. but for newer players it would be a godsend.
The amount of times I confuse my friend when weâre playing Marvel (heâs a newbie) by saying things like âDo ABCSâ when for him, I should really be saying âDo XYBAâ.
In all honesty, I would probably never use either feature myself, but I can see them being useful if that same friend who shows enthusiasm, just doesnât have the same commitment I do, comes over for some games and wants to fuck about in training mode for a bit.
Actually, next question, and I hope this is a given. Does training mode allow 2 players?
(Arcana Heart 3 doesnât and itâs annoying trying to teach that same friend again without a sparring mode)
This needs to be said again, this would be a godsend game changer for new players. Having this as an option in the tutorial mode would be insanely helpful. So many of my friends have asked âwhy doesnât mission mode (marvel 3) tell me what buttons to pressâ
Proof, schmoof. I got lost in all those hundreds of little letters you typed. Hah.
Actually, before I was still trying to see if single chars needed more of a boostâŚnow (it seems like) theyâre okay the way they are, so the suggestion has more relevance. Plus I had forgotten about it from before after all the testing of alpha counters and such.
Itâs all in the timing.
Your pony is in an airtight box in the mail as of this moment. Hope it arrives before it regrets the fact that the box is airtight.
Horray! Iâm going to name it Mrs. Suffocation Pants!
Real question though, and forgive me if this has been asked before but for the life of me I canât remember. Do characters have aerial directional influence during normal jumps or super jumps (like they have in Marvel 3) or is jump height/distance static?
So are single characters still terrifying one-touch-kill machines? I kind of expect people to end up complaining about them if they start losing to scrubs online or something.
Then perhaps they should stop losing to opponents they consider âscrubsâ, or upgrade their opinion of the opponent. (^.^)
Yes, single characters versus 3-character team can for the most part still a character in one hit, but theyâre also easier to outplay since you have assists and things.
No, currently thereâs no direction influence during superjumps, more GG-style there.
How is regional matchmaking handled? Is it by wherever the account is registered, or can we actually specify what region or timezone weâre in. This is kinda important for me, especially if say I end up having to get the game on US PSN (on my US account) and Iâm in Asia which might make matchmaking worse (especially at times like now when 3 of the 4 main submarine cables serving us all have breaks in them).
I cannot like this post enough. Truer words have not been spoken. People now a days just want instant gratification and nerfs to characters instead of just learning how to get around it. Makes me wish more people grew up and played games like mvc2 where instead of just complaining about something you learned how to stop it.
Mags rushing you down? Block that shit, counter with an assist or catch him slippin. Iron man just did an infinite and killed your whole team? Donât be a bitch about it, just play better next time and donât get hit.
Your sent not putting in the work and losing to something? Be a better gundam pilot.
I really hope that with a game like skullgirls players will learn to stop complaining so much about things they feel are âcheapâ and just become a better player. I mean, I donât know about you but Iâm always looking for ways to improve my skill in everything i do in and outside of gaming.
/rant.
I miss the days of having to learn how to play a game by getting your ass handed to you over and over until you learned.
Edit: to keep in line with the thead.
Can you use negative edge to preform trickier combos in skull girls or are strange mechanics like NE just more work than is needed? Would there be a benefit to using it rather than not? Also i know a lot of normals chain together but does plinking exist in the game? Or instances where you can link a stronger normal into something else within a 1-frame window?
More curiosity than something I want to see in the game
Hereâs an oddball question. When are we gonna see new and different t-shirts for sale? I saw a brief mention on the Skullgirls facebook about doing custom shirts or something along those lines. Whatâs the scoop?
im also interested in new shirts!
also, i saw a post on a different website somewhere about waiting for the license to distribute the skull girls aiabs? something along those lines⌠any info or is this rumor?
also, is it known if valentine will be playable?
are the skullgirl aiabâs using a curved wide layout?
psn or xbl (opinion)? =D
will this game be available for preorder?
I donât have a clue, that stuffâs all magic to me. Whenever I hear the term âmatchmakingâ my eyes roll back in my head and I start drooling. Well, I more vigorously continue my previous drooling, anyway. SorryâŚ
IAD lockout is different for different people. Filia 5f, Fortune 6f, Peacock 8f, etc. But you can hit the buttons/dirs anytime before then and your character will automatically airdash when they can, instead of giving you a jumping attack.
You can negative edge specials and supers. You canât negative edge DHCs. The benefit to using it the same as in other games, to prevent yourself from accidentally doing something else in certain situations, like attempting a reversal and getting nothing->block instead of getting a normal if you mess up the motion for a special. Also, nobodyâs opinion of who is scrubby will be changed by any game, people always like to think themselves superiorâŚthe difference is SG mostly makes you blame yourself for losing instead of blaming comeback mechanics/game systems. At least I hope that. (^.^)ââ
ShirtsâŚdunno, have to wait for Ravidrath to get back from NYCC. Sticks, same. They keep me far away from that stuff, with good reason. :^)
