The only AA grab right now is Cerebella’s and it is only unblockable if the opponent is rising from a jump. So entering from a tag or a dead character or whatever, they can just block or it whiffs, not sure which.
Quoting my post to ask this question again because I really want to know the answer.
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!
So, can I say, set DP-HP for Ms. Fortunes assist and then, based on whether or not I have my head on, my assist is either a positional invincible uppercut or a long range poke where my character is!
If so, that sounds awesome and I can see this being a go to assist in the future.
yes.
question, if you do a head assist and ms fortune gets hit, does the head go into hit stun?
Will tonight’s FNF have Filia in it? :3
Hey Mike, game is looking fantastic! I was wondering if you could talk a little bit more about online yet? Will it be general or robust? I’m assuming ranks? Each character, overall? Are you gonna have things like Ranked 3v3, ranked 2v2, ranked 1v1 or just rank everything together? Keep up the good work, mang.
I would think there’s zero chance of getting separate modes for 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, and I don’t know why people keep obsessing over even team sizes. The varying team sizes is something that makes this game different from most other fighters and I’m sure they have put a lot of work into making sure the different ratios (or whatever they end up called) are balanced.
Interesting that some normals could in the future. So to clarify, when you say it is set per move, you don’t mean “chip is 30% of each move, so every move is going to chip differently?” You actually mean some moves are going to be better at chipping than others not solely based on how much non-chip damage they do.
In the GT vid it was shown that the head can’t do anything while Fortune is in block or hitstun.
i think he means that each move has a set value of chip that it does. fileball does X dmg if it is unblocked and Y if it is blocked.
yea, i saw that, im just curious how it will work when she is an assist called in.
i assume that you can still hit her, will she just stand there while the head does the move?
what if your assist is HP and HK when you call her as a headless assist will she kick and the head do its attack?
will the head be ‘active’ as soon as she starts jumping in for the assist or does she need to land first?
does MP and HP still dash for her when she is headless or will it do a punch and a head attack?
Pretty sure Omega Red stretch is a kick move, not DP HP(think its qcf+K). You’d probably just get head throw if you had no head( I am not aware of a DP HP move)
He says it’s set per move. That means it’s not some universal percent and that he had to set it individually per move.
He’s talking about her awesome standing HP. >_>
No, NYCC is just to give more people a chance to play the game.
Only new thing really will be our two new custom sticks, featuring Ms. Fortune and Painwheel.
Yup, it will!
Does Painwheel stick mean Painwheel will be available or at least more news/details about her?
Anyone from here going to be at NYCC, BTW?
Pretty sure Master Chibi will be.
No, she’s not ready to show yet.
Maybe more details about her next week, but I’m still waiting for PR to figure out what we’re going to do about this Fraggs situation.
Actually, no. Assists are not “these inputs go to my character”, they are “these inputs mean this attack, so my character will do this attack”. You can’t option-select assist, and you can’t set DP+HP as an assist because it isn’t a move Fortune herself normally has.
s.HP and c.HP are usable assists (and are headbutt and blood slide, respectively, if you don’t have your head on). Possibly I’ll change this in the future, but for now that’s the deal.

Was there any thought about adding short hops to the game?

What’s the chance of Parasoul having a counter move? I see her having one for some reason ;o
If you pushblock the head does just the body get pushed back? Or just the head? Or both?
I can understand the problems inherent in “I did this input, the assist will do this input” but wouldn’t “my input means this attack, so my assist will do the input it knows for this attack (rather than doing the attack directly)” be fine?
