Well, technically you can charge a mash move, just hold the fifth input. But that would be really annoying to do.
Noticed the same thing too, but didn’t wanna post about it because I thought I was crazy.
Capcom think we can’t mash buttons for combos when that’s what we excel at.
I saw some pics of the demo booth showing everybody’s movesets but I don’t remember where I saw it.
But according to Play Magazine he has a spin move with followups (Three kicks for the spin, use MP and HP for the folloups, overhead and sweep), two counters (B+Three kicks or punches, one counters ground attacks and one counters aerial attacks), two command throws (no mention of the inputs) and a kick with a DP motion (I’m guessing it’s that one from the trailer that launches - either that or thats his normal launcher).
Why not lock those threads since you’re a mod.
One thing I hope is that they keep the essence of the tekken characters, meaning king has his multithrows. I wonder, are the throw escapes like tekken or sf4?
holy fuck this game looks bad. slow pacing, no mixups and it uses the sf4 engine which means bad net code.
Definitely not impressed. I think skull girls looks better than this game. Seriously, fuck slow ass street fighter, that game is fucking out dated. The game needs to change otherwise it will always be this bland shit.
This game looks like another monkey maker from capcom that will be in the scene for 5 minutes and leave. Just like CFJ and TvC.
Care to make a tier list as well since you seem to be able to judge so much from a video.
I’ll sit a little off to the center for this one.
The stuff we’ve seen thus far makes this game look like shit. Ugly models, ugly gameplay, just really bad. TTT2 looks to do the tag in aspect way, way, way better.
And yet I’m excited since it could lead to a new line of games the same way the VS did. So I’m okay with waiting and seeing them polish it up and all that.
Except for the fucking dinosaurs bugging out in the background, that shit is stupid.
:looney:
Well in Guilty Gear XX, Millia Rage had a rapid attack move that can be done by either tapping a button rapidly or doing a DP motion then tapping said button rapidly. They could give her both, but…I honestly don’t see why this move would be changed like that @_@
Thanks dude. Is Marduk a grappler too? Anyone have experience with that character?
@Jamp- How is the damage scaling in this game? Is it like (S)SF4 where the damage can be scaled down to 10% of it’s base damage?
Yep, he’s a grappler, seems to be more conventional than King. Can’t say much about him in Tekken, though.
They probably changed lightning legs to a motion move so she can charge it.
guiles assist is so beast… i cant wait

I kind of wish they made legs a motion move in MvC3 actually, if they’re going to make it so easy to mash it randomly comes out from one shaky press for fuck’s sake. Ken’s movelist looks so empty and silly being shorter than Ryu, I know it was like that in SFIII as well but…come on give him a command roll or crazy kicks, do iiiiiiiiiitttttttt.
Having the sound on makes the footage 10x shittier somehow. Like those sound effects and that music make it pure ass while with it off it’s…SFIV scrub play ass. I’m sure glad they took the complaints about CvS2 reusing sprites to heart by the way. Chun Li’s j.RH knocks down air to air again like loke test SFIV. Shitloads of Tekken character jumping normals do as well (I’m sure they do in T6, but the physics are completely different and how often do you air to air someone in Tekken), it looks pretty silly.
j.HK, cr.HP xx Legs, cr.MK xx EX Legs, MP xx EX Kikouken. Ugh. Half circles for days.
I laughed so hard when I heard Ken using Ryu’s voice overs in one of the gameplay videos.
But hey, at least Shippu Jinrai Kyaku is back.
don’t be so naive. You can tell a lot by these videos. Game play is slow, movement is slow, jumping is slow, no short hops so no fast ass multiple overhead attempts, tech rolling takes forever and it uses the sf4 engine which can’t use GGPO net code so online will also suck for this game.
but some people choose to be blind so whatever.
Is it me or is the official artwork done by Udon studios?
They pretty much all but stated the netcode would be based on SSFIV already, by saying it would have “at least” the same features.
Pretty much every “roll” in the videos is a forward dive from Tekken for some reason. The really strange thing is King tries to super one and goes through it, when in Tekken that’s a rising attack and super unsafe.
Let people like their own games, we as consumers, don’t have to buy them, I sure as hell won’t, but I’m not going to rage when others do.
I still think it’s too early to judge whether the game is bad or not. Release isn’t until 2012, lots of stuff WILL change.
Plus if you look at almost any game a year and a half before it’s released, it will always look unpolished and kinda shitty. Needs more time.
