Makes me glad I had no plans on buying this anyway regardless of the netcode, but even if they could hype me into liking this game, still won’t buy it since it will be bad…enjoy it.
What the fuck is up this mindset?
Are you serious?
I will say this though, converting into an unbiased observer mode, the visuals should not be killed at all, considering how early the builds are. Now if it still looks like this late summer/early fall…then start bashing.
I’m so Hyped for this, I might drop Marvel just for this!
i love how everytime a new game gets announced everyone stops playing whatever game came out before it and then announces their intent to the world.
“i traded SSF4 for MvC3!”
“im gonna trade mvc3 for MK9!”
“Im gonna trade mk9 for StreetfighterxTekken”
“I’m gonna trade streetfighterxtekken for tekkenxstreetfighter”
it’s ok to like more than 1 thing. I like italian food AND thai food.
also, i apologize for implying i am attacking user: guiltygearx104, he can do whatever he wants.
It’s way too soon to pass judgement on the game because of it’s visuals. I don’t particularly like how the graphics look myself, but from what they showed us today it seemed like they added some kind of filter or shader or something to make things look different from the original footage. Probably to garner fan input. I’d say by the time this thing releases it will have undergone many different appearances until they get things right.
As for the gameplay it looks really fun. It seems like it’s definitely favoring a more offensive play style, which is a fresh alternative from SFIV’s offering. It looks like a lot of downright silly things I’ve attempted in training mode of SSFIV are possible  Chun li’s stomp, air target combo, c. mk, ex bird kick for example.
Who gives a shit how it looks. Looks fine. I don’t need it to be the Crysis of fighting games. Just let it play well. The pure gameplay is by far the most important thing.
Also, the only other SF2 characters that really need to be in this are Dhalsim, Dictator, and Cammy.
That’s cool, I keep my games anyways. I’m just saying there’s gonna be so many fighters to come that I have to drop something in order to get serious in another. I have a life too you know.
Did he? All I recall is that he said that he thought it would be a good fit to recreate the tap based combo engine of Tekken in a 2D fighter or something like that.
Also, the playable impressions seem to indicate that it’s still a link based system, which sucks. The only thing that makes MvC3 online more bearable than SSFIV online is that the latter doesn’t require strict links for most BnBs.
just dropping in to say don’t gay up this thread too
Didn’t MvC3 get it’s own separate subforum on like the day of its official announcement?
Yeah, I hoping this would be primarily chain combos.
I was thinking something along the lines of Marvel, just no super jumps/double jumps/flight mode or launching of any kind. I’ll still give it a shot.
Did they say whether this game was gonna have a proxy throw or a two button throw?
Throws are still :lp:+:lk:.
Shore yall probably already seen it but
Guile & Abel ~Vs.~ Kazuyu & Bob HD Match
I’ma main Abel and Marduk until further notice of some more interesting characters.
But im really hoping they bring a good amount of new Street Fighter Characters in. Eagle, Karin, Alex, Elena etc. I would like to see some new faces in this crossover from SF side.
Dudley better be in this game.
This. Let’s get us a new play space to flame each other in. I nominate myself as mod, of course.
Does anyone know enough to actually explain the whole 4-button thing with Tekken that they’ve been mentioning?
absolutely loving the look of the game, hating the SF4 shoto sprites though.
am i the only person that gets a retro feel whehn looking at this game? like a GOOD fatal fury or some shit… lol.
netcode will be ass unfortunately. im boycotting buying this game if its netcode is shit. the buck stops at SFxT for me. MVC3 has more than enough depth to continue playing and so does AE. i will only buy this game if its netcode isnt shit, but theres a 99.9% chance it will be just as shitty as mvc3’s netcode since this has been in development for a long time now and we all know capcom cant or wont reverse engineer the game to support predictive algorythms if it hasnt already.

I got the same sort of vibe, might be part of the interest. Probably gonna agree with the netcode comment too, might make an exception if a few special conditions are met.
