I don’t even see how Magic Series has ever been an issue in any game that used/uses it. There isn’t a single game I can think where the most effective combo with every character is a basic Magic Series, not even MvC3.

Lol I always try to get things good. None the less From what I’ve seen In pax Kazaya is still a strong character. But no one uses characters Aside from Ken,Sagat,Ryu,Cammy,Chun…Basically the SF cast =/ Not a lot of Tekken aside from Kazaya.

You can’t really run away from kazuya. With that wave dash geeze it just allows him to get in and destroy.

well I havent played it…yet but so far it looks cool just wanna see a different type of combo

There are different types of combos instead of LMHH because that does low damage the big damage comes from big combos in this game.

I’ll wait till I see it before I even think about buying this

People who think this game will just be LMHH … LMH are crazy. Check out this Kazuya at around 2:00.

It’s the same thing with MVC3, when that game was being paraded around and getting to be played by public in pre release it was all a,b,c,l, b,b,c and then maybe some OTG super or some TACs. Or even less than that.

Then on day one of release I’m sure you know how much the game changed.

That 2nd video being literally a day after release…And lets not talk about how much the game has evolved from then as well.

I’m not saying theres no reason to have concerns, (I personally thing damage is a bit too high in general right now…) but nobody has even REALLY played the game and figured anything out. Its just not correct to think this pre release gameplay will be how the game will be played forever.

Well…that was just ken though, a lot of the good characters had nice overhead options but for most of the cast you just down parried the crouch tech which turned your character up close into just fishing for low parries.

I don’t think throw techs are gonna be that big of deal in this game, I can’t see a lot of people actually getting into point blank range from neutral seeing as how you can lead into so much damage from catching a whiffed poke, so people will more than likely play really safe. Point blank mixups will probably happen after a knockdown, and seeing the damage possibilities, any random counter hit setup with a cr. jab for most any character could lead to 40% damage.

Point blank grabs will be scary honestly on knock downs. You’re insane for going for a grab at any other time. I’d be fearful if anything. But it’s a risk. They announced that they have a new system working for the game now. The also released pictures of the the new super bars. This seems like it’s gonna go the right way hopefully. They changed the bars, and they look crispy imo. Here’s a picture of it.

Alrighty i just wanted to use this thread since NYC comic con is coming up and i wanted to post some stuff to see if some people would like to test it.

Main questions

  1. Can someone please find out if Poison’s super is mashable?
  2. Try to find out if lili’s health has been increased.
  3. Try to see how many bounds and wall bounces the game to do.
    (Easy way is the kazuya god wing combo and lili’s ex mid spin attack.)

**Some combos to test **

**Nina **
lp+mp+ex thrust+mp+hp+hp
lk+mk +normal special launcher and then tag

Chun-li
lk+mk+cr.HP+M.Spinning bird or Hard spinning bird+Tag
Legs+st.lp (I’ve seen this done before but i would like to know if its actually possible to do it now since they gave the game links.)

Poison
Ex rekka into lp or medium punch (Just want to know if its possible because in the trailer the link looked pretty tight)

Rolento
All i would like to know is if he has low life.

Raven
Check if his health has been buffed.

Check if he has IA dive kicks.

I;ve noticed that not many people use bob but i’d like to know…

If he has decent or high health.
A ground bound move and how many times it will let him do it.
If his roll is throw able.
If is normals have good speed.

Pandora
To see if characters have infinite life along with infinite meter and if the time has been buffed up for some unknown reason.

Roll Teching

See if you can cause knock down to the person roll teching or if its throw able.

The main thing I’d like someone to test is if you still can grab someone out of crumple stun. just try to tag cancel Yoshimitsu’s EX Suicide or something and try any normal or command grab (assuming it still crumples).

Some Zangief stuff:

Can you tag Cancel EX SPD and continue with a combo? (You can hit that spinning animation in SFIV, see: El Fuerte’s Propeller tortilla)

What does headbutt do, since the game doesn’t have stun?

I also wanted to know some other things for these characters.

Lili
If her knee hop had invincibility.
If she can use other moves after Ex Knee hop.
Which spinning move does the best job at dodging projectiles.
If she has good normals.
If she can counter the beginning start up of a projectile.

Heihachi

If his ex counter can cause some sort of state so you may continue a combo.
If his j.mk crosses up.
If his super has fireball invicility

Some other stuff.

Have any new stages been added.
Confirm if the cross attack does indeed to less damage.
How many tags the game allows you to do with meter and command launchers.
If more Damage scaling has been applied.
If kazuya can do longer combos.

Finally to confirm if the game moves very quickly and if the SF character’s overheads cause ground bounds like Ken’s.

I think the kazuya loop can go 3 times, meter permitting, but don’t quote me on that.

I just wanna to see if two things work if someone wouldn’t mind testing? Can someone see if you can tiger knee Lili and Hwoarang’s divekicks, and if you can throw roll techs.
