This Hack or “Complete Edition”? I said WTF, because they do not understand how to open them. If the PC version is based on “Microsoft XBOX360”, it is possible to open them until the fall?
@yajirobe
good to know. If it’s like with the console files, you should be able to raw dump the last EMG in the list correctly, and you should still be able to manually dump anything via hex. Once dumped correctly, I would guess that EMOAppend will work, though I haven’t tried it. All of the manual stuff that sensibeat figured out should still be applicable, and I would suspect that many of the tools will work with only slight modifications.
If EMG2SMD is at least giving the bones, you should be able to rig up new models them, I would think.
@FireFox Fun
That stuff isn’t included on the PC disk. They took it all out. You’ll have to wait for the DLC to be released before the files are even available.
big deal we are talking about the new PC version not that xbox disc which has already been cracked. Capcom learned their lesson this time and didn’t include the dlc already on it for the pc one. That’s old news, stop dragging up shit regarding xbox version when the pc version doesn’t include that stuff to be cracked in the files. as well as mentioning a web link to cracking a XBOX disc to unlock the stuff when we are discussing the PC version. Sigh…please keep the talk on the pc version in regards to modding.
Still surprised I cannot find a complete save file for the pc version. Yes i did a search.Would appreciate if someone does know where i can find one.
Thats right, so if we work on it we can have ALL the neon slots replaced.
Yeah Capcom REALLY didn’t want us to get a headsup on the characters on the pc version this time around. Learned how stupid that was to leave it there just waiting to be cracked on the pc. At least with the xbox the chances of that while still possible balanced itself out with users who didn’t know how and just paid for the dlc.
The difference is that you need a special Xbox with hardware mods to crack it. Any old PC would be able to do it.
Wait a second. I thought that the PC version wasn’t going to be released until this Friday? What’d I miss?
Sorry for the off-topic response, but I’m just really curious. Probably a real simple answer I’m guessing.
Just found out that someone by the nickname REVOLT did crack that allows you to download something dlc. Found only in the repack. If anyone knows, please send a link.
Most PC games these days get leaked weeks in advance. If you ever start making games, never trust retail distributors.
Well, that makes sense. Thanks for the quick response.
So, did they remove all of the on-disc content for the PC version? Or just the characters?
That could open the “Microsoft XBOX360” version, and removed from the PC version, and it’s all dlc.
Yes they did, of obvious reasons. If someone can hack a 360 in a day, they can hack a PC in minutes. Capcom realized that a simple hex wall would be solved in seconds upon the game coming out, so they didn’t even bother giving it a chance – especially since its already hard enough to track hackers on 360 – its nigh on impossible to find them on PC.
What do you mean “something DLC”?
Unspecified, but probably that all the dlc
couldnt someone just take the files from a console vers of the game and put them on the PC game’s file tree and then unlock them?(well basically anyways it might be A LITTLE more complex but it cant be that much)
It has already been covered that the file types were changed between the Console and PC version and that just dragging and dropping the files into the PC version doesn’t work.
Well, that’s pretty obvious, I would think that Capcom would do something like that to prevent such a thing.
The question is, how much was changed? If they just changed the extension and a few values around, you could potentially just edit those things and they may work. I mean, realistically, they should be compatible with a little work, since the 360 is basically running on the same stuff that PC games run on.
Leaked copies aren’t online enabled, some people will download it just to see how it runs on the PC and then actually buy the game when it comes out to play online. I just wait for the official release personally, I stay away from leaked/hacked/cracked stuff in general, as I’ve seen more instances of malware packed with it.
Edit: Plus I like to actually support the PC scene and buy it so they continue to bring more games to PC.
You can’t just take the console files because they’re big-endian (for use with the PPC processors in consoles) while x86 processors need little-endian. We have a tool–sf4toolnew from Kensou–that will change the endianness of some files, but it can’t change everything required for a working character. It only really works on models and textures.
Can we stop talking about DLC unlocks, FFS??
We’re just talking about the full game data that we are entitled to instead of the half-game Capcom is trying to sell to PC gamers
