SFxT PC Modding Thread - NO PIRACY / DLC CIRCUMVENTION DISCUSSION

I see I see. Makes sense.

Mesh edits work using the Asset Explorer. Just export to OBJ, modify and then inject back in:

has anyone figured out how to get ssf4 skins to work on sfxt?

OMFG WTF WHY DO PEOPLE WANT SFIVAE’S SHITTY ASS RENDERS THEY SUCK. SFxT’S ARE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER. god i hate AEs models and lighting. its fucking lazy garbage, with lots of unatural stretchy bodies with ten thousand pound thunder thigh legs. anything to do with SF4 is the ugliest game i have EVER seen in my life. both aesthetically and gameplay wise. how anyone could ever WANT to DOWNGRADE to that games shit for brains lighting system is mind numbing.

That would be pretty slick if that worked. I’d love to use those Juri mods in SFxT.

Edit: stupid fat fingers >.>

…You’re nuts.
Everyone SFxT looks like they’re covered in mud.

Well then what is the point of creating this thread and why do you still mind posting on this thread
Besides your previous post in pages 2 told that you got bored of SF X TEKKEN and get back to SSFIVAE again and now you talked SSFIVAE like it is the worst game ever made.
And I don’t see the different between the models of two games,only the effects and filters make them different
I know SF X TEKKEN is a game that has many downsides and its infamous DLC issue and even I was quite disappointed with the way they made with this PC version,but still this topic is about making mods,not to discuss about its graphic or anything else
So can you wait patiently until we can make some first real mods,and then you can talk whatever you want or judging our mod
Thank you

I made some progress in reproducing existing mods in SFxT:

GIMP sure sucks for editing SFxT files. Its poor handling of alpha channels really wrecks pandora mode’s glowing patterns. Here is an even worse example.

This one looks alright because Ryu’s clothes are already white. Unfortunately, the MatCol colors are displayed over the top of whatever is in the obj.emb texture, so just making an all-white emm will make all of your colors look faded… Removing the MatCol entries entirely looks terrible, as well. For the short-term, I would suggest everyone avoid messing with the matcols in skin-colored objects–which look awful if changed to white–and stick to clothing until a better solution can be found.

Nice checkers.

I’m holding you to this Jamp.

You’re letting these dickweeds fuck up the modding thread! Come on! I know its SFxT but can’t the fucking modding thread at least be off limits to these mouth breathing mother fuckers!?! /Samuel L.

And seriously, I’ll buy a premium account if you IP ban that Sakura avatar douche. So much ignorance it makes me wish abortion was law for women with IQ lower than 125. Fuck me, can’t enjoy a single god damn thread in this sub forum.:coffee:

I’ll edit this post with some content later. Currently trying to make a quick color guide for skin tones, hair colors, basic clothing colors etc. So people can skip the whole converting and tinkering business and just do their color swaps. Gonna try and flesh it out with screencaps of the ingame colors too.

I highly suggest you keep your jackassery out of this thread, please. We’ve already stopped discussing the DLC, so you keep your vulgar, petty insults to yourself.

Now then, I would like to make a suggestion relevant to the thread at hand.
I think it would be in our best interest for someone to make a Color Edit Tool. Sure, we can do it manually, but it’s a bit of a pain and could potentially cause problems with future updates if we don’t have a way to instantly revert the changes. So here’s my suggestions on what such a tool could have:

  • As stated before, have the tool keep a character’s default colors in memory so they could be instantly reverted to default at the push of a button.
  • Color sliders to get a perfect desired color.
  • Able to save chosen colors in memory in a Favorites box to instantly swap to them in the event that you change one of your slots to something else.
  • Optional: Have a list of default colors (sort of like the ones in the game itself) to easily quick pick a color and make minor modifications so you don’t have to hunt through the color sliders to get a common color.

@SakuraSoMoe
we probably won’t see any new tools written until we understand the problem a little better. Even then, it’s up to someone capable to decide to do it. Personally, this is the part of the process I enjoy most, getting to poke around in the game and see how it works. There’s still lots of fun, easy stuff to figure out just by moving files around.

Oh, I understand that, but I figured that I would suggest it anyway. I wish I could do it. If I had any programming sense at all, I’d be working on it right this second.
But like I said, you may understand how to poke around the files, but others may not really “get” it, even if they have instructions, or they may be afraid to screw something up, or they just don’t want to put forth the effort to screw around with everything (admittedly, I fall into the latter category), so a tool for this would definitely help, and from what I’ve seen mentioned in this thread, it’s certainly possible to make, we just need someone to do it.

I saw a lot of picture for Stages from SF4. Can some one tell me CAN WE SWAP STAGES between SSF4 and SFxT and if yes, then How?

Also, I like the way RYu look above. ALot cleanner. Cant understand why CAPCOM make such a horrible looking game. Colors, pattern, heath bar…so ugly

Are you from forum.gamevn.com,if so I’m glad to see you because I’m Vietnamese too
About that question,SSFIV and SF X TEKKEN uses different file extension so you can’t just simply swap files from each other.About the health bar we can mod in the future too just like we did with SFIV back then
Because of the rules,I can’t speak Vietnamese with you but I can create a conversation with you so you and I can speak Vietnamese

Is there any difficult problems for bac/bcm files?

those files have parameters which can make AI smarter.

I am looking forward for an Ono update so that I can make AI harder on SFxTK.

@bebopfan
Yeah, they changed those files fairly significantly, but Dantarion has already made a lot of progress on figuring them out. Hopefully he’ll update Ono! or make a new, similar tool sometime in the future.

@Amoni
The stages are similar in the way they handle models and textures, but they’re very different in the way they handle movement and effects. That said, it’s pretty easy to swap the geometry and textures from the training stages but other stages will be more difficult/impossible.

Unless you’re going to teach it fundamentals don’t bother…

I really want to work on coding in fundamental concepts into Dummy AI – if we could redo the menu to be able to set specific principles that’d be amazing.

srsly? come on mods.

He won’t be coming back for a while.

Just a tip though: avoid insults. If someone breaks the rules, just hit the report button.
