Since I’ve searched and found no dedicated thread, here it is…
I’m going through the mode and trying to assemble data on what it takes, minimally, to earn Gold.
ShinRyu has put together a playlist of his Gold medal fights. I am cataloging my results in the effort to learn the minimum requirements for each medal.

Currently I am breaking down Mission 19, in particular what Gems Ogre and Akuma have equipped. If anyone knows them please list the Gem numbers.

I finished most of them with bronze or silver, but bullying the cpu with normals that are + on block makes it fairly easy.

Is there even a reward for getting gold in all the missions?

Nada. Just completing all missions will yield an achievement.
