DLC has been bad business but capcom and the others know that we will pay for it. The majority of the people leading the gripes will be among the first to shell out for the special editions and the DLC. I am unashamed to say that I don’t like that particular business practice but I’m gonna buy it anyway.
You know, if there is some DLC that you dont think is worth, you can just not buy it. Money talks.
Really? Most of the folks I knew that hated the DLCs edited the game’s disc data or pirated the things.
No, you retard, Capcom gets the most hate for it because there are MORE people to complain about it, this is pretty easy to comprehend.
And I Looovee the use of the word “Only” in terms of T6’s sales, vanilla SFIV got about the same amount, and Super barely reached 2.
Then add to that, the fact that SFIV didn’t even get enough Arcade love to get an updated release for, what, 2.5 years?
I don’t think you really get how much Namco relies on the Arcade Tekken audience, the Arcade is their biggest source of income for the series (As you can plainly see from where the franchise is most popular, and the state of console tekken release dates)
The Arcade version has no outlet for DLC, guess what happens when Console gets exclusive shit that doesn’t come to Arcades until a cab update that allows for microtransactions?
Go on, guess, I know you aren’t too stupid for this.
Heihachi loves happy hard core

And while civilization has demanded we cease such reckless behavior, we can still metaphorically tear up the place with fighting games - and if you live in the Los Angeles area, this weekend is a chance to flex your virtual muscles AND get an updated hands-on with Street Fighter X Tekken…
In before correction****
Well it would seem we will be getting some high level play if its streamed. I hope Justin will be there to show some new stuff.
Oh shit. You reckon that means Gems?
Could this also mean new characters?
Seeing neither new characters or gems would make me furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!
The “update” refers to a change on the menu screen. They also made Ryu’s gi a slightly different shade of white. /trolls
Lies ono said no new news until AGS…=D
I’m guessing that we will get new chars, the char select with look different and we can play with gems and new stages
Capcom: “Now showing a new character…the surprise reveal of…ASUKA!”
Everyone Ever: Lol
Hey Guys, ready for the holidays?..well i know im looking forward to them~ i’ve been bogged down in playing KOFXIII among other things but i can say that its really interesting in how where this discussion is going~ i just wanted to add my two cents to the DLC controversy.
The First thing i wanted to touch base on was Expectations and this is a big one for all of us because the truth is we all have different levels of expectations for FG in general. So one popular topic is Alternate costumes and such, as its seems to be a staple for DLC these days. I seen post talking about certain games having multiple costumes on the disk that are not DLC or having the option to customize characters to the players liking, where as others give you very bland options or none at all. These example all changed on what we think should be in a FG right?
Tekken as of T5 had Character customization, at first being limited but now goes as far as one of the more detailed ones.
VF series had Character customization as well from VF4 and up, as VF5FS has a ridiculous amount of custom items to choose from. One the other end of the spectrum we have KOFXIII with their Color edit mode, which is pretty darn cool imo, giving you a few slots to make custom colors for your characters.
The games previously mentioned had all this before DLC. so now we look a SFIV, with no character customization options. you had unlockable colors~ but no color edit. you had to purchase alternative costumes for the online store, but what made it hurt even more was the fact the content was already on the disk. this trend stayed through out the SFIV series. So for SFxTK there are two main ideas that clash because of these expectations. 1) to have unlockable or obtainable costumes or customization parts, or 2) to have downloadable Costumes for a price.
We do know that there is a Color edit mode and it seems pretty good(it seems let you re-color Alts too) so even if thats all we get(without additional cost) that fine, and as the teased CrossOver Costumes~ they seem to be DLC content on launch or alittle while after. its hard to say at this time how things will turn out for SFxTK and maybe there are alot more surprises in the works~ so who knows only time will tell
Hey I’ll take any new SFxT info as I can get.
Seconded, I may not be optimistic, but I always take new info as a positive thing.
I just hope the players this time will try out stuff; as in we get gameplay akin to those 6 Korean vids from weeks back.
Same here. Those vids were the best gameplay videos I’ve seen 'till now. I totally liked the Rolento/Zangief vs Lili/Heihachi vid (the Rolento player was great, loved that comeback he did), and the all-out wrestler brawl was nice. More of these please!
I’ll take any gameplay that is as good as this summers NEC9 to Korean like gameplay. If its jump jump mashitty mash mash spam… then i’m not watching it. I’ll watch the mashy ones with new chars just to see what normals and moves they have and thats it.
Got any SFxT vids of the summer NEC9?
