So, with all these systems/mechanics, are any of you worried about them not being able to adequately balance/polish them? Basically what I’m saying is, why are they spending time implementing this gem system when they should be working on getting all the other systems right.
Ok making sure cuz i think its very high as well
Everyone decrying this game right now are going to be on it like it’s the only fg in existence when it comes out. Ultras were MUCH worse than some optional gems.
The game is fun. You will all buy it, play it and love it, just as you did the sf4 series. I know because I’ve played it and it is tight as fuck. I’m only getting more excited with these new details, save for the gem system, because anything that makes the game deeper is good (crumples from lvl2 dash cancel, low invul on launcher essentially being a risky low parry).
Also, how do you people KNOW that characters in the teasers are being used as red herrings? Is this just something someone theorised and you all ran with it? Because that’s some awfully weird marketing startegy to get people hyped for a roster that ends up being 1/3 the size advertised, and pissing off the fans of most of the characters teased to boot.
A shining beacon of light among the storm of shit is always welcome mowr.
The gems are perfectly fine as long as they’re optional. In fact, it’d be really fun to use them in 2 vs. 2 online mode.
If gems can be toggled on/off in both online and offline play, then I’d say this game can be the perfect fighting game as well as the perfect party game. It seems like they’re heading in that direction. Hopefully it sells well. I think everyone’s initial rage was due to them assuming that the gems were unavoidable or mandatory. I know Seth said that “people in tournaments will want to use them,” but like many have said before, he’s likely just doing his job.
Pandora never had infinite meter. It always charged.
Just by the current layout of that roster on the Japanese character page, I think it might be safe to say that those reveals are coming up soon.
I think that’s exactly what everybody (not including casuals) is worried about. Before you design all the flimsy gimmicky shit, you gotta make sure the core game is actually acceptable.
I am a Dragunov fan. Big fucking time. I seen him in a trailer for sfxt how do you think I’m going to feel if Capcom turns around and says that he’s only in those trailers to distract from characters who were deemed more worthy for inclusion?
I will say: “Fuck you. A never-been-relevant fucking skank tranny got in this game and Dragunov didn’t. Fuck. You.”
I will say it in writing.
Ono said to look out for more announcements at his ‘Ono Vs Harada’ conference tomorrow.
Dragunov was the first Tekken character I ever bothered getting serious with, so I’d be hype if he’s in.
Though- Dictator+Gouki vs. Dragunov+?
Who would be a good ? for Dragunov in this case?
I’m not saying the game is going to turn out shitty. I sure hope it won’t, and I like to think I’m an optimist when it comes to these things. But I’m just saying is that there are alot of reasons for me to be cautious right now, and Capcom seems to be adding more reasons with each reveal.

then what the hell does that say in Pandora’s mechanic details…im sure it doesn’t say charge…
It’s always been charge. I’m cool with the gem system like other people have said, as long as there’s an option to turn it off. With Pandora and Cross Assault both looking fairly useless at this point I’m content because I won’t have to deal with gimmicky shit/comeback mechanics.
I was just annoyed that I spent almost all of Thurs-Fri waiting for a Juri trailer/reveal and not getting one.
They probably just made a mistake. In all the gameplay videos with Pandora, since it was first put into playable buids, it was always in refill mode.
well Ono did a VERY BIG Boo Boo then…>_>’
Sorry but…
Welp my hype for this game is completely dead now. Not even sure if I’ll even buy it at this point.
Capcom already said you can turn them off.
