I say at least some more stages and theme music. Could add the original SF2 stages and whatever iconic stages from tekken. They could have went balls out in the content and fan fare department. Don’t get me wrong some of the stages and themes are cool, but they could have did alot more.
To be fair I do not think he would know Marduk’s optimal postlaunch since no one really uses it. Without it his postlaunch damage is merely above average.
v2013 fixed a lot of things. If they can get a couple more things tightened up (a few glitches, a few things that might have been a bit too nerfed or a slight bit too buffed, Ibuki in general), I’m all for it.
If it doesn’t happen I’m not going to cry myself to sleep or anything.
Really, I’d like more than anything to get some aesthetic changes, more stages and a second alt costume… and for the love of god either add more/better preset gems, or a better way to select custom sets (and block all DLC gems).
If anything, an update could also help draw new eyes to the game, so there is also that.
Please note that I said new eyes, btw. Not “change the minds of people that dislike the game”. For most of them, the ship has already sailed.
you guys know that video is several months old right? They put that up the week after the 2013 patch hit and most of the characters were still completely unexplored… more so than now anyway. Still no excuse on the justin wong thing though
Too bad that SFxT is still last in the tfc poll. Not that it is the best form of feedback, but it still shows how many real supporters the game has. This community is lazy for the most part and it won’t even take the chance to fix a few flaws (e.g infinites and bugs).
Yeah nothing is going to happen. I’m pretty sure David Hinds said something about a possible update like a month ago already.
Those of you who are lurking in this forum and doing nothing for their favourite fighting game: you lazy bums!
James Chen also said that Dan vs Cammy is 5-5 and after losing a set to Ultradavid commented that he honestly feels like its a 6-4 in Dan’s favor back when AE dropped
Damn it, what’s up with all these misinterpretations of videos nowadays? First those Brits, now UltraChen (was my fault, sry). They uploaded the vid a few days ago so I thought they streamed this recently… Like you said, doesn’t justify Chen’s complaints.
That tfc poll is rubbish though. It doesn’t even represent the playerbase of each title, not with all the bribing that happened. It should definitely be possible, if we spread the word, to get the community together and get something done.
…whose twitter should we bombard? I still have my twitter account I made for the tfc poll, but I don’t know the people to “pester” for this.
It may be rubbish as in “some games wouldn’t have gotten that many votes without some motivation”, but SFxT barely getting any votes is still a valid point. The sad thing however is that Ono and Haunts tweeted it. Combofiend even got some prizes for the supporters. Even with somewhat official support SFxT didn’t even manage to get 200 votes. But if that’s close to the actual playerbase, then ok I take my statement back. Almost 100% of the community voted.
For Twitter I would recommend @capcomdawg@Yoshi_OnoChin@Haunts@TheComboFiend
I know it sounds salty but above all else I’d like to see some Law changes. I’ve yet to find a good one myself since I’m still C rank, but it distresses me that one character could have literally the best tag options, AA, and some of the best pokes, mixups, and damage in the game. It’s like really, why not use him? Sometimes I feel I’m not even playing my other characters to their maximum potential (Lei) because I’m not using Law and his ridiculous tag cancels.
Um…mixups? I’m sorry, but Law is one of the easiest characters to down-back to death in this game. His two overheads are pretty easy to see coming if you watch for them (him screaming WAAA or WATAH at the start helps too).
The more you fight Law the less threatening he becomes, especially if you have the life lead on him. The only reason I feel that he can be good is if he gets the life lead, since he can really blow you up if you like to press buttons.
Really now? As I said I’ve yet to play him myself but the overhead though slowish for 20 frames has the damage potential to make many faster command overheads look like a joke. I get the feeling most people who say Law is ok have just played against him so damn much, but to me he just looks like this crazy guy doing 400+ meterless off halfscreen safe pokes in 40% of high level matches.
Which reminds me, does Law have a lot of tricks and tech that the average stream player doesn’t know/utilize, the same way that Nina appears in 20% of the matches I see but I haven’t seen a flash kick in weeks?
Law is all about frustrating you. If you have decent reactions and if you stay focused you can anticipate his overheads. That pretty much eliminates his “mixups”. Of course he has universal mixups with throws and frametraps, but pretty much every character has that. Fast jabs that hit meaty cover his wake up option as his reversals have slow start up 16-17 frames. Wake up super/cross art is faster than that.
Still you have to respect him when he has meter, as Ex FFR will destroy you, if you press too many buttons. It’s still a slow special though. I remember how a Law player blocked my j. mk with Lars and my cr. mp follow up recovered in time to block an Ex FFR with reversal timing. In fact I still have the video:
Edit: His tekken chains move him forward by quite a bit. They are unsafe on block and can be neutral jumped. Pokes such as st. mk, cr. mk and cr. mp however… they are legit powerful
