Capcom telling me to raw launch a baby, cold-hearted bastards.
“Changing the startup from 5 to 7 frames allows it to be used powerfully, but using a various amount of crouching attacks (as opposed to just one) to control ground space has always been Ryu’s style.” - Ayano
I really don’t get what he means by this. Is this a grammatical error? o_O
I think he’s saying that it’s still a powerful move but the increased start-up should make people explore some of Ryu’s other normals outside of that one move. Or at least make it good without it being too good.
Something along those lines anyway. That’s what I got from it. I always felt that Ryu having a 5-frame sweep led to people spamming it, but it isn’t that much of a problem. Especially in this game with raw-launchers…
Okay, now that would make more sense. I think he needs a better translator.
Is this his reason why Ryu’s crouching normals are going to be nerfed, so that we get to use his standing normals? All of his crouching normals are going to be nerfed in 2013 in one way or another. o_O
This needs to be a thing. LOLOL
lol i’m sure you wouldn’t. besides, i don’t play this ( yet ). and if you want to challenge me in sf4 ( because i know you will say you’ll beat me in that ), my psn is d_dollars.
I don’t play this game but you wont body me for free. Is what you say.
So you, never playing this game, can hop on and hold your own to a guy that is top ten on PSN?
I think you dropped your logic on the way into this forum, you should probably go get it.
I’m a bit uncomfortable with this. The change log we got a couple of weeks ago isn’t finalized and they will make additional changes based on fan feedback? So they will be balancing the game via theory fighter now?
As opposed to…?
What other way is there to balance a fighting game?
Anyways, it seems as thought they’re pretty committed to some of the changes, such as the Ryu sweep change (hence the explanation of why they changed it).
I’m guessing most of the announced changes will stick. But, who knows…
They can always hold those street clubs again, have separate stations in their 25th anniversary tournaments with the patched version and test it there.
Finally had some time to cool off from the whack-job stealth nerfs on Bryan and spend some lab time with him.
His new BnB’s:
LP>MP>LP, 623HP~PP, cLP, 214MK (Same side)
LP>MP>LP, 214LP~214LP, cLP, 214MK (Switch Sides)
LP>MP>LP, 236 PP, fMK>MP>LP>MP, 66MP
fMK>MP>LP, 66 PP, cLP, 214K.
Obviously you can replace the target combo with the starter of your choice. Bryan still does lots of damage but is more meter reliant than before.
Also, I know some people don’t like numpad notation, but I’m not gonna sit down and learn names for all the combo fluff moves.
Damage values?
it depends alot on your starter, But approximates…
- 260
2)260
3)400 - 380
Basically you want to go into EX Snake pit if you have meter.
LP>MP>LP xx 623HP, cLP, fMK>MP>LP xx 66MP will do 298 damage. this is the most damaging (meterless) bryan bnb off jab confirm that i know of
also after ex snake pit wallbounce you can get more damage by following up instead with 623MP, fMK>MP>LP xx 66MP
A wild Tatsu appears
damn you people who use keypad notation
Found my pupil.
Can’t Escape!

Help me educate this bunch, as apparently Street Fighter X Tekken’s netcode is worse than AE’s.
