I really don’t feel the hate for this game like many others, other than the auto gems. The game is really good and I look forward to even the small tweaks like less flashy gems, differentiating life bars, etc. I just hope the game can live through another year with all the hate it gets
Capcom is pushing in the right direction with this patch. Here’s hoping they can internalize more feedback in the future to further streamline what should ultimately be a fast and smooth fighter.
I’m excited, I can’t wait to figure out all the new stuff in the new version , and I’m pretty hype for the balance patches!
Hope this patch resurrects what is considered dead to most. Sim sim salabim!
I’m still bummed about Juri’s nerfs. Hopefully it won’t hurt her too much with the system changes.
This recent patch is what makes me want to pick up the game again! Now that I recently bought a Vita, I’m excited to be able to play on the go!
Over all a good patch, i think Heihachi is going to be a monster now and i like how smooth it looks plus those Ryu changes are interesting as well. This could actually get me back into the game and maybe get me to tell people to buy it as well.
I’m happy that Capcom is trying to repair the damaged reputation of SFxT but I’m not sure if the changes are enough (or too late) to repair the brand. I like a lot of the subtle changes (grey health is now red health) and etc. I’m hoping that lower tier characters get buffed up to be atleast viable enough in competitive play. I remember wanting to main asuka and realize how bad she was (no hitbox on her shoe, seriously?).
The patch will certainly make the game much better, hopefully people will be willing to give it another chance.
Fix the idiotic jab pressure and time outs and the game still have hope. The game needs tons of work and I’ll believe it can be fixed to a degree from this patch. There will still be problems though. But at least I’ll give it another chance.
I’m loving the buffs to Jin, but I’m saddened that Capcom isn’t doing much else with Pandora.
In general, I like the gameplay tweaks, not only do they encourage more offensive play(which this game needs) they also address some obvious balance issues. I honestly feel that the current version had a lot of potential and people were too quick to turn it down, for all we know, there could have been less time outs if people found out how to maximize their damage and option selects for rolls. Hopefully this new patch will revive the game and people will give it another chance (which it deserves imo)
The only issues I have with the patch so far are some of the questionable balance tweaks to Hugo, now I know his damage was ridiculous but that was all he had, his footsies were limited, his command grabs were lacking and he walk speed is VERY slow. Hopefully he has some hidden buffs that will address these issues and knowing Capcom, their most likely will fingers crossed
If this patch fixes all the issues people have with this game then there’s no doubt in my mind that it’ll receive a second chance.
Never hated the game, just thought…eh, the Pandora time could’ve been extended, a theater mode would’ve been necessary in case i would like to show others the Prologues or Endings of the characters i’ve completed the game with. The gems was meh, but i got use to it. I believe Street Fighter x Tekken is more of a Arcade style game, but i believe this balance change will help improve the game. I have a PS Vita and only two games. (Mortal Kombat & Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3) I would like to add Street Fighter x Tekken to the collection, scramble mode and online play is pretty much what i play all the time. Overall, the game is fun, and i look forward to Namco’s Tekken x Street Fighter.
Looking forward to the update so more people will play.
Wow, people still think walk forward stand jab is a problem?
It looks aiight.
Very excited for the 2013 balance patch! I hope people play it now because its getting lonely being the only guy in New England who plays this game.
The patch seems to be taking out alot of the annoyances found in the game, and it seems way more fun and fast paced based off of the change list.
I’m just glad that they’re supporting it and really trying to give it a chance, even though the community loves to hate on it. It’s a fun game to play. It may not be the next ST, but for the most part it does well what games should - entertain.
I’ve already got it on PS3, but I’d love to get a copy for my Vita, as well.
I’m really liking the frame changes and generally making the fights faster with things like the cinematic throws and tag moves being made normal so no more strange zoom ins. All the characters being rebalanced is a huge plus, capcom trying to get rid of that cheap stuff is good, i’m sure this will create some new cheap stuff as it normally does. I am still very hopeful and excited that people will pick it up and play it.
