Sadly, asI’ve just learned today, it’ll be literally impossible for me to go financially.

EDIT TWO: I beg all of you that can make it to Final Round to please, please do so. I really want to myself but… dammit my money game just got kicked in the balls by the IRS. Hard.

I know I know, my bad, I was just… very upset yesterday lol. It’s a really silly tax situation that’s going to cost me… well, a grip. -___-

I was honestly really looking forward to it, as I have family all around that area now and I wanted to visit with them too, but I won’t be able to until way later this year now. Now knowing that, I’m going to store all my fundage up to try and attend EVO (and if Devastation or a similar large event happens out here in AZ this year, I’ll be at that too) .

I’ll be a stream monster for sure though, so I’ll be cheering on all of you that make it! Gotta’ show people what this SFxT really is all about!

If a tournament allows all gems, then there is very little reason to use anything other than the motivation/resolution ones and a 20-30% power gem that activates on super or whatever. I still continue to say that those gems are the best by far. They allow me to do 678 damage for 1 bar. and 1000+ damage resets for 2. Having 3 damage cut gems active isn’t nearly going to be enough to survive the kind of damage you can do with 4-5 meters + pandora thrown into the mix.

Meter is too important in this game. If you pick power/defense and your opponent picks motivation/resolution you’ve already lost. Because you won’t be able to keep up with the meter race. That’s my opinion on it at least. Picking anything other than motivation/resolution is handicapping yourself.

Now, about being forced to use the 5 default presets, I don’t really have a problem with it (even though I really don’t like some of the gems they picked). But I agree with SimSim that the activation requirements will favor certain characters over others. I mean things like “land x normals/special moves” is just unfair. Some characters can’t get a lot of normals/specials in a combo while others can do loops/multiple reps.
