Throws were pretty easy to not have to deal with in sf4. Crouch tech, invincible back dashes, almost everyone having invincible moves etc. Also getting into position for a throw was harder. Better zoning, slower dashes, more emphasis on pokes, and better AAs. It was difficult to get the pressure going in the first place.
So it made sense for them to have strong rewards. Not necessarily the unblockables but getting a safe jump or guaranteed pressure or a mix up was a good reward for actually getting a throw to land. It was harder to make the original throw happen.
Conversely sfv has hard to react to dashes little to no reversals stubby pokes and not so great AAs. You get into position much easier and the pressure tends to snowball. In this game it makes much less sense for the reward to be so high.
I feel like command throws need to not loop either for the same reasons. Its just too easy to be in command grab range with frame perfect tick grab set ups. But thats another discussion.
Oh and whoās going to main Falke? I guess I will for 3 days since she is technically the only character I care about in the DLC.
I just realized this pic shows all of the default outfits for the characters. Didnāt realize Falke has her legs exposed. So many SF girls that have to have leotards/panties out. Plus blonde.
Iāll also main Sagat for a week just to AA uppercut and CC c.HP people. CC c.HP better be at least as good as A3 Sagat c.HP. Give me good s.LK also. Dont care about the fireballs but Iāll take em.

Anyway Iāll give this mess a try, since some of you are forced to use these forums.
Iām actually looking forward to Sagat, a character I always hated, but no character in SFV really picks my interest Outside of Juri, and I am done with the struggle.
Having an anime game (albeit tag game and way too simplified) with an actually population has made me basically drop SFV, Iāve recently only logged for extra battle, and not even that consistently, Iāve missed both Ibukiās part 4, Ken Part 3 and Rashid, Got Mika and Chun though and those are the ones I cared about.

Yeah invincible backdashes coming back would only make sense if they put back in option selects (which would then just redefeat the purpose of them and go back to making the game think for you) or did them like KI where they were full invincible, but only for 7 frames of the dash. Which doesnāt really help that much since some characters in that game have shit slow backdashes so its easy to fish and punish. Like with Glacius you might as well not bother backdashing unless you read a throw.
Only really worth using to escape throws since like SFV, throw whiffs are made to be lengthy in that game to promote comitting to your throws and throw escapes. Which they did the same thing with command grabs. Can start strong pressure but if someone reads their way out they get a nice punish.
