I’m having almost as much success (or lack thereof) online with my Day 4 Sakura than I did with my Month X Chun.
Only the Gief matchup makes me wish I could counterpick online but everything else is so much easier with a proper SFV character (= getting in and pressing buttons non-stop).
speaking of S1 didnt that season have more top tiers and high tiers? Urien,Karin,Boxer,Claw,Ryu,Mika,Nash,Chun,Guile and necalli? wish i could find a tier list for each season
I am having way less success with Sakura than I was having with my Gief, but I feel she will take me farther away than Gief would considering his state in S3.5.
It is so much fun to play Sakura now. She feels very SFV proper indeed.

For me it is even worse because Sakura is the first shoto I have ever played competitively in a SF game.
It has always been Gief for me. It is a whole new world. 
But Capcom took Gief out of the game, so I had no other option.

Season 1 was balanced but only for like 10 characters. None of the seasons or patches have been perfect. Which one you like most or think was most balanced probably depends on if your main was nerfed or not.
I know the general consensus for 3.5 is negative, but i like the way the game is going. They will never get every character perfect and you’re always going to have top tiers that skate by.
I think they are just working on eliminating cheap stuff thats super easy to do. We like our cheap stuff but most of the cheap stuff in sfv doesnt have a high skill floor. Theres no frame perfect set play or things that are difficult to get into position for. Its just abc 123 into unreactable mix ups or max damage combos.
So when i see that crap get nerfed out or made to do less damage, i can appreciate it.
Problem needs to bring out his Dic. Or else he will never win.
While im at it, i find it hilarious when lower level players complain about tiers or balance. Even at mid level there’s too much room for growth as a player to be worried about that stuff. You’ll make the same dumb mistakes if your character is top tier or bottom tier. Good character wont improve your decision making

The tiers in SF5 are so tight, that you only really feel what some are talking about at the highest level.
For me the tiers bothered me as a viewer, not a player. I can’t fangirl hard when top 8 is 3-4 characters, none of which deserve to rule the world.

Finally played SFV yesterday, rusty as hell but I still like using Abigail. I can still make him work. Made a Guile not want the runback after his loss, heh. He’s clearly toned down now, but it still feels like you can impose his will.

People online are hilarious! You let them recover from a stun (yea sure with a little bar of health) and give them distance to pick up thier face, but if I let them stun ME they go for the kill. Lmfao aw man I miss this game.
