Dat neutral tho, he’s got it all you can ask for in neutral. Crazy whiff punish buffers, space control, yolo ex move that is plus on block (The fraud cody’s gonna cry when that gets nerfed), both corner control and corner pressure, privileged straight white male, projectile, anti airs. Then you see his hit confirms, his damage output, and the seth mixups with vt2.
Easy candidate for top 5
Everyone’s all tunnel visioned on the 3f jab and reversal aspect. Those are good things to have, but they’re also over valued. Buncha tools

Urien and Guile shows you can be strong without a 3 frame button, but its not really a coincidence either that most of the top have 3 frame buttons. You limit the amount of frame traps the opponent can use on you if you have a 3 frame and removes certain meaties/setups from them.
If you dont have a 3 frame for example Ibuki can just run all of her big conversion, low pushback medium button frame traps on you and there’s not much you can do about it other than wait it out and hope you dont get shimmied/thrown. Having a 3 frame limits her to shorter traps which is good for keeping from sticking to you once she’s in.
With that said the top tier that dont have 3 frames usually just have other strong stuff in neutral, solid plus buttons and still have a solid EX reversal. Guile and Urien of course fall into that. Alex and Fang are the other side of what happens when you dont have a 3 frame on top of meta issues.
Not sure if Cody is gonna be top 5 unless bad spray and v skill cover people getting close to him, but he’s for sure the best Season 3 DLC character and people will complain about him. Be more than surprised if EX zonk doesn’t get frame advantage nerfed and his regular zonk is basically a completely safe rog dash punch that converts on counter hit. Actually…won’t be surprised if some of the Rog players start moving to Cody.

Indeed…though at least the stupid edge lord shit fits Nero a lot better than Dante. But apparently absolutely no one recognized Nero until the end of the trailer even though it was obvious within 10 seconds.

It was obvious once he revved the sword and i saw his arm but i just want them to stay true to the REAL dante and REAL vergil character

Haven’t seen the trailer yet but I assume with Nero being in that means older Dante.
Idk man a lot of people Didnt like Nero that much since he was such a crybaby and the games entire story felt like i was playing as ichigo(same voice actor too) from bleach and the chick who nero was trying to rescue was basically orihime.Yeah Jin Dante was older but you didnt get a clear look at his face but he looked older and his design looks like REAL dante

Looks like they gave the DmC look to nero for reasons unknown but he looks nothing like nero and dante looks like hes rocking DMC2 clothes. i dont care though im just happy for a real Sequel
