Lol I just realized I’m only 4 episodes behind on Excellent Adventures. Damn, 'didn’t know it was that long since the channel uploaded anything. At least not on youtube.
I’ve caught a couple of the newer episodes where Sherry was on and that’s about it.
may i ask you something…what beside of splitting the community is it that you try to achieve?
i understand that you dont like discourse but dont forget that this is not something set in stone.
its not the first forum hoster change and it will most likely be not the last one. instead to move on to a other place you should try to get people together to offer solutions to the discourse forum for a future change.
i guess the most important stuff for the guy who is behind the forum is money…he spend a lot and safes now a shit tone by switching to discourse. check the discourse page out, try to show him better and cheaper options with the same functionality or better ones and try to get the community together so that you can make him that proposal with us all behind you.
I already posted my reasons before. It basically boils down to:
People behind SRK don’t care that much about forums anymore. They will be slow to implement changes the community wants. They probably won’t put a lot of effort in. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I’m not going to wait around for a new crisis the next time they decide they don’t want to bother paying anymore.
I just started my own place because I thought I could do better. I put in hard work, time, and money to create a community manned by a team that cares. I try to provide the features people want and I listen to feedback/requests. It’s a polished place for a small, tight group to hang.
I doubt I’m taking much away from old SRK. All my users still post here. Many post in both places. No harm in having an alternative. Sure is better than people running away to Discord when they don’t like something.
If this place shapes up and changes drastically then there might be no need for SRK2. If that’s the case all my users will just return here. People go where they want. I’m just doing my best to give give them another option.
Waiting for things to change is fine, but in my case I have the ability to do something about it. So why not? I don’t like waiting for people higher up to do something when I can just do it myself.

Not a big deal. The whole point of the thread is a play on the “war” between the forums. I don’t care where people talk. I’m just keeping this up because this is where everyone started from and where I started from. This is the site that people see first and find everyone that’s eventually at SRK2 or Discord. This is the beginning of the mess. Just discord still sucks.

Discord was getting stale.
Both SRKs are quiet.
Forums are an endangered species. The children only use twitter now.

I am sticking on all three platforms for now, even though I am not a fan of discourse at all.
But a lot of people are still here, others are at SRK2 and Discord is for quick chats with real time response, so it doesn’t work too well without a forum backing it up.
Specially because you can’t easily promote the discord server, nor can people find it at random when searching the web for FG information and pages.
That’s why you gotta go where the olds are at.
Somethingawful still strong and proud baby, although average age on SA is now like 31 years old.

I watched the replays of the matches you had after our practise session.
You are still being too passive with your attack. There were a lot of moments when you just sat there, crouching, waiting for the opponent to do something to try and react to it.
That cost you the victory on all those Ken matches.
But do not fret, we will work on fixing that. Whenever you feel like practising and I am around at discord or online at SFV, shoot me an invite to a lounge with FT2 settings and character select and we will work on your attack.
If you break that habit, you can reach silver.

I think it is time to invest in a better stick than this hori mini.
One with an octagonal gate at that. This square gate is confusing me badly with my inputs now that I have set to learn Sakura as my secondary character.
