SFV Lounge: Season 4 is almost upon us, hide your mains

Lol Capcom can fuck off with that.

Lootboxes are the worst thing to happen to video games.

Guile sweep is mad good for whiff punishing. 7f is a pretty fair exchange for the double sweep liability.

I have a feeling that EX CW would become a slower version of Karin’s QCFP. Do you really think Capcom would let EX Rekka be +2 and chainable? I think they’d do this:

First hit +2, second hit -4 on block VTC.

Oh and his St.Hk would be a great poke but it wouldn’t hit croucher’s. As a Max distance CC he’d only get dash xx St.Lp xx whatever.

They’d probbably buff his Cr.Mk though. Fuudo used to put that move to great effect against focus cancels.

That Mika EX5 color though.

I already said they were lootboxes in my explanation a while back. You were just hype to play some good old SF again and didn’t see the word lootboxes lol

It’'s ok though as any issue the game has is easier to swallow once you pick up Ibuki, Guile or Menat. Then you don’t worry about the other things.

I already got back all of the FM I spent on FC through online matches.

Lol. 50 FM really adds up when you’re not paying attention.

That’s why I don’t bother with the other modes and just play ranked.

Word is next season will generally pay you FM with time spent playing so I wouldn’t mind something a little more set and forget like that.

Fight money earned via wins in ranked should depend on the current tier list of the season.

The higher your character in the tier the lower the reward in fight money. Needs a proper reward / effort balance.

It’s only fair…

Smart people win at the character select screen. Reward people for being smart and picking winning characters.

They can also reward me for playing Falke because she has a hat and stuff.

Here is a couple of games i had vs a strong Juri player, this guy and character always gives me issues.

Was my 1st time playing SF5 in about 2 weeks but this particular player always gave me hard time. The ranked set happened first, then we played the lounge set after.

If anyone got some decent feedback, it would be appreciated.

There is no character select screen for online ranked.

Geecko is really good. Definitely best Euro Juri. He won a tournament a while back.

Used to play this matchup from Juri’s side when I was using her. Basically once she gets v skill and fireballs stored up good luck. She pretty much controls the neutral once that happens. Once she gets LK fireball you’re not throwing too many more buttons at her and with the buff to LK fireball’s active frames that is just that much longer that you can’t press a button.

Floaty jump means trying to jump over to bop her stores like some characters can doesn’t work as well. It’s a match where she doesn’t kill you off one conversion like the higher tier characters, but it’s a match where she effectively checkmates your neutral with LK fireball (beats most any button you’ll want to throw) and charged V Skill (lose fireball so lose your only other thing to safely press neutral with).

You just have to press the offense and keep EX legs or sweep ready to punish any stores that are done too close in neutral. It’s a pretty simple matchup. You either get in before she gets a LK fireball and stay on her or she gets one, probably gets to also charge a v skill and then you gotta sit and block for a while. Again, the big issue being Chun’s floaty jump makes it so she can’t reliably punish random stores in neutral with anything scary. Once she feels any space is ready for her she’s going to get that LK fireball and you lose neutral.

Yeah there is. You just pick the right character in match settings before. Don’t pick shitty characters like Zeku and Juri and you’re good.

When Ada Kolin in the dress alt lies down after being defeated. That ass is just…

Geecko is actually the best Italian player, he won our RB Invitational Tournament and he was in Paris for the RBK Qualifier last month. He’s no joke, I’ve started revalue Juri after seeing him play live, he’s really great in adaptation.

Yeah he plays really smart. He doesn’t jump very much or overextend himself as much as Gentleman Thief or some of the Asian Juris do. He doesn’t utilize quite all the tech and crouch confirm stuff that Gentleman does, but he’s really smart with his neutral and buttons.

You had me 'til you said Zeku is shitty.

Yeah, he puts a lot of efforts and time on her, I’ve fought (and won) against him last year, I’ve heard about him again few months ago and he jumped from low Plat to GM in just one year with a more methodical and refined play. Until last summer invitational I didn’t realized how annoying and dangerous Juri is in good hands, that LK fireball force the opponent to do a choice and often the best one are losing ground or let her get in. Then he’s insanely good at abusing trip guard with cr.mk, that shit is deadly, I wish Zeku to have that without spending VT.

Who cares, I will get Karakusa next year, so I’m good.

he lost to Dyni Crippler’s Balrog at his last torunament tho, Dyni is a good player and would probably be better if he only traveled a bit

Rog don’t give a shit about Juri’s shit so that’s not surprising. Probably better off playing Sakura vs Rog than Juri.

LK fireball active frame buff really did help her neutral a lot. It allows her to stop people from pressing buttons even longer than before and in matchups vs characters that aren’t human projectiles, she can regularly re up her stores once she throws the first fireball with ease.

I honestly don’t think it’s that bad for Juri, once she manages to get the lk store he can’t really play as he wants, ofc the problem is getting the store
