Just want to throw in how godlike Akuma’s cr. Hp is against peeps with REAL stubby buttons. Nothing worse than playing Sakura v Akuma and he likes hitting that button. CCs all day, RiP. And funny dime brought up boxer cause fuck that button in that matchup too.

That’s the thing. Ibuki’s buttons are stubbier than Sakura’s but she at least has V Skill to pull her back against him spamming it. Most of the Akumas I fight don’t really throw around c.HP much either way. If you’re playing a character with rough ground neutral like Sakura or Zeku, then yeah you probably aren’t doing much about it other than low damage whiff punish.

You mean like the corset she’s wearing under it? I think it adds a little something to the outfit.
It specifically has better conversion range than any other button he has… which I said ALONG WITH all the other crap it does, along with it’s conversion is pretty high damage…
No other button does that for free with no meter, non crouchable, plus on block.

i think this is a good thing. too many changes to get used to and you can’t fully explore the game in 9-12 months. no more piecemeal character effectiveness. just make their best versions and be done with it.

Yeah, it just has a way of not being optimal in a lot of ranges despite those things. Which I believe is particularly because he just has a set of other buttons that are faster or better for the situation regardless. Higher the level the more liability it becomes compared to other faster buttons he has. Which plays into why I think his buttons are as good as they are. c.HP is generally there, but can win without it with other buttons that are more effective in whatever spot you’d want to use that button in.

The problem if you nerf V-Trigger universally it will effect some characters more than others. Just the universal command grab recovery nerf hurt Zangief the most. Or the additional scaling on V-Trigger cancels hurt Nash more because his VT1 is single use.
The worst losses are those where you only need one hit to win. One. Cot damn it.

Yeah earlier today i lost several matches to magic pixel.
It always throws me off because I expect to kill them them i don’t and suddenly I’m scrambling to finish them off.
In previous games you throw a FB or DP to chip them out but here you actually have to finish them off. People running comebacks on me with no visible health is my kryptonite.
