SFV Lounge: Season 4 is almost upon us, hide your mains

WHACHU TALK’N BOUT FOOL?! Bison’s character design is all about pressure and domination. It’s all about inducing fear and frustration, and the air of a boss, of power, UNLIMITED POWER!

Cannes Winter Clash? I was there too, but honestly the tournament was played 10 days after the game release,we were just jumped off from the SF4 train. I don’t even consider that tournament results relevant considering how much the game evolved since then during the season.

LOL man, I really enjoy sakura but he’s right.

I think she has crazy potential if they fix her problems.

That feels like a line that could be used for pretty much any low tier here

True, Sakura, vega, alex, and fang all really fall into that category

The more i play Sagat the more unsure i am of what changes he needs. Maybe expand stand lp hitbox downwards? Better tiger knees? I guess.

I think he would just benefit more from TT nerfs.

I still wouldn’t personally have any interesting in playing Sagat if they just nerfed TTs. His strength is still mostly in tiger shots and needs to have more going for him than shots in this game even vs Alex

Highland and the twitter verse have mostly gone over what he could use, but it’s a matter of what he actually gets. If he had like one serious heavy normal that hit crouchers I’d be more inclined to mess with him. Until then, Falke fits the specific long range I want to play to compliment Ibuki better.

No matter how many balence patches, Some characters will always fall short at the competitive level.

True, but that should never dissuade Capcom from genuinely attempting to make most of the cast viable. If we can get to something like 50% of the roster to be competitively viable, it would be unprecedented in the history of the franchise.

SF’s roster as a whole is already better than most if not all of its predecessors IMO. The net result of Capcom’s balance patches each season has been positive. #BelieveinS4

It’s really a problem of most devs. They want to make the cast viable, but they are in their own train of thought of what will work compared to what actually happens on the screen at big events.

Rashid is probably the biggest example of why people are having struggle with seeing more characters in tournaments. Rashid was too stupid, but by making him less stupid he’s effectively become less effective than the top 5 and the few Rashid mains that still run him in CPT essentially have less of a chance to win events than they did before. While the other characters that actually need more stuff to get to where Rashid is just aren’t getting that stuff.

Abigail same deal. He was too dumb, but his nerfs definitely ensure he will never solo win any CPT or at best be the side character to another character that’s better solo at events. Scrubs are happy that he’s a bit easier to fight, but when you watch TV you’re only going to see him eventually lose to a bad matchup or just be relegated to “I do good vs this character so here I am” role. The Zangief and Alex players that moved to Abigail still aren’t winning shit.

You get a character that’s less dumb to fight against, but it effectively makes it so you are only seeing Cammy and Guile on TV more often than you already were.

That can be said about every character on the roster.

Menat is innocent and pure, Dan said so!

Dan is my man, but he says a lot of bullshit.

He’s right on the money this time though!

Actually, he is far more wrong than usual.
Menat is a menace that sells loot boxes.
Rose should gives her spankings.

Rose is running the temple though
