Looks good for Kage. At first I figured I would need to see more matches of it, but by the end of the video I’m pretty convinced a lot of the neutral of the matchup plays in Kage’s favor. Kage’s walk speed is as good as Ken’s so he can easily ST style walk/block/neutral jump the mid range vs Sagat.
Teru exclusively uses VT1 which is better for the Sagat match any way. Sagat has no real strong low and mostly relies on one hit standing buttons to make space which Kage can eat up with V Skill and get free v gauge. Get 2 bars and you get souped up full armored (can’t low hit it), projectile invincible V Skill that’s 0 on block uncharged and plus 6 when charged. Basically Sagat’s worst nightmare in one move.
Kage can use air fireball and dive to throw off Sagat’s AA and Kage’s AA is ridiculous so Sagat won’t be able to use much of his sub par jump game vs Kage when the zoning and buttons aren’t working. Can only really see it getting better for Kage and harder for Sagat. Sagat can fight it, but Kage looks to clearly have more options in the matchup.
It’s easy to just counter pick Sagat any way if you have a rough match vs him, but looks good for Kage.
I personally don’t go to Panera enough to make it worth it even for free unless I know I’d be getting guaranteed green teas. That’s the only thing I really go there for.
I think he was just off, he played only Sekiro last month. Definitely he has still room to improve his Falke, but Sempre knows that mu very well, he also has a Falke in GM.
I already use EX PP on reaction with Falke (as long as I’m close enough) to beat the armor, but this shit is get fucked Sagat. Especially considering you can already use his regular V Skill to do this. More payoff with trigger version.
Theoretically Sagat could also do that in the reverse situation to Kage, but he doesn’t really have quite the same frame advantage or speed/travel to make it as scary.
