DBFZ is a versus game. Those games have historically never held their entrant numbers like SF does. The reality is, that sort of game only appeals (at that level) to a smaller number of people. Especially as the number of people who can compete at the highest levels gets smaller and smaller.
Even looking at MVC3 it had a similiar drop off (complete with people calling it dead). Not as severe, but still.
My point is, no sense in declaring games dead before they actually are.

One of my best friends, of 18 years now too. 
Dude is going full weeb uncle with my daughter. Got her totoro pajamas when she was tiny, a Luna stuffed cat (Sailor Moon’s cat), and a Snorlax bean bag for christmas.
Snorlax bean bag is mad comfy though. Can’t be too mad at that.

the game doesnt have enough depth to let players distinguish themselves or let them have their own style, It died at next level but they only stream it cause they know the other games wont get many viewers same situation with bums house/stream
