Think the problem is you dont like playing the game. If you enjoyed playing the game, the lack of news wouldnt be aa bad.
Mind you, Capcom’s pr is still terrible right now. But if you were having fun, you’d care less.

Outside Cipher,Appo and EC I think everybody are still on board, me included, boycotting is probably an exaggeration.

I think I said I’d drop the game until a character I liked surfaced, I never boycotted on grounds of the devs not meeting my expectation. I was just bored of the game at the time.
If you’re gonna drop a game for reasons beyond the game, idk I find you a little dumb. These things are made for leisure, if they’re fun to you - play 'em, if not, play another game. Simple formula.

Even they release another set of characters in 2019, I believe those people that dislike the game will still dislike the game unless that character is the they are really into.
But if the set of characters isn’t there interest they are into disappointments…
Yet much worst are the guys that like the game for the announcement, that just want anything new for the sake of new characters because they will never be satisfied unless the set of characters are exactly what they assumed will be… yet next year another round of anticipation would be set.
I would be long gone if Zeku wasn’t released, I can’t say I’m experiencing the best SF since WW, but is serviceable. Obviously I wouldn’t say shit with Makoto or something similar in fun,but didn’t happen. I’ll give Capcom props for the efforts to improving the game since S1, but the game has still margin to be way better for everybody, at that point who’s in the roster becomes way less important.
A good start would have been a better communication with the fans about their plans, this radio silence after CC is just bad. Look at what they’ve done last year, perfect S3 reveal at CC and amazing presentation of the characters. Nobody complained about it.

Boycotting now Capcom because of SFV is just silly, they’ve got our money already anyway. I can say fuck this game and start playing anime shit, but that ain’t gonna create a problem to Capcom. I’ve already spent money on SFV, but since I’m not completely satisfied with the whole product I have the rights to stop throwing money at them, that’s not boycotting. As a SF lover in general I did my part supporting with my wallet, I will do again for something interesting, but atm this S4 looks like a big no in this department.

Really? Because if I go somewhere for a service and they tell me they’ll be with me soon and 4 hours later they are still selling product to others and not answering my simple question I’m probably never going there again.
The same principle applies, but in the case capcom has been guilty of shoving off half finished product to the fgc via fighters and selling them the rest for a decades…
And I was fine with it because, well I like capcom and I like fighters.
But after the whole marvel i deal, and this whole street fighter 5 launch until now mess I’m calling a spade a spade. I’m not telling anyone to stop playing it, I’m just going to give my honest thoughts on it when asked. And ironically enough I get asked my opinions on games, and things more than one might think.
I’m not boycotting Capcom that’s something you said, I’m just done with them and support of anything they are selling fgc wise until they learn how to talk to the public without a $ behind it.
That stage trailer for the grass stage could have easily said “More season 4 information coming at a later date” It didn’t… its really really simple.
Even a “We don’t have any information to share right now but don’t worry more season characters and information is coming at a later date, please be patient a little longer.”
It doesn’t take much, and the fact that they can’t nail that simple fact still tells me all I need to know about supporting them.
There is no paywall, there’s no season pass to buy, you haven’t put money into anything so tbh, the expectancy and entitlement for new content should be at it’s lowest point rn. I’d care more if I had a season pass investment looking for a content roadmap.
You paid for your game, you have everything you’ve paid for if you have any of the passes. If you want to boycott on the point of communication, you weren’t ever into the game enough to begin with. This should be more telling of your opinion on the game itself than how Capcom handle PR. They could leave content for a year and I’d still be playing, and tournaments would still be a good watch.

I have put money into plenty of SF5 related things, I have encouraged people to buy and pick and play and travel for the game, I’ve supported with purchased based on “good will” but keep going.
You keep telling me what I should expect out of what I purchased, you keep putting words in my mouth that I never said.
I’m not boycotting, I’m just not supporting future $ content or giving capcom the “benefit of the doubt” anymore.
This game and capcom aren’t two unrelated things, they literally go hand and hand. You are shilling so hard for SF5 that you can’t see the over all picture.
I hope they do leave the content as it is for all of the year lol… I think the game is in the best spot it has ever been balance wise. But the game was built on a f2p model even though its not f2p…
the views for FR were pretty high I’m interested to know the numbers for the next major provided Ono isn’t there and there is no hints of a information being revealed.
I’m not shilling dude, I just play games I find fun. Your mentality is just something I find weird. I don’t need anything beyond a fun game to play, and a draught of info isn’t going to break anybody who enjoys the game either, you’re blowing this out of proportion and getting dramatic for no reason.

You can play a game you have fun with and acknowledge the incompetency of the people behind it. I enjoyed mvci but I recognized all the incompetency behind it and why people didn’t want to play or were upset with capcom and marvel.
SF5 isn’t what all of a sudden made me feel like this about capcom, its just the straw that broke the camels back.

Hypocrisy would become apparent if flaws in a game found it no longer fun for me and I preached this, as opposed to improvements I’d like. When the game wasn’t fun for me during S2/S3, I didn’t play it - crazy concept. This is like saying I’m not allowed to think Shadow of the Colossus is my favourite game, even though I actively dislike some of it’s controls feeling sloppy and a few of the Colossus designs.
But as per, you arguments are shallow and simply looking to fuel some kinda fire beneath everyone’s feet. You may continue trying.
Your argument is invalid, since the game became flawless in your eyes once Cody came out.
