Geese gots t-rex buttons and not much that leaves him stupid plus iirc.
If Golf were that easy to play at the highest level, Tiger Woods wouldn’t have a destroyed body doing it. 4 Back Surgeries, Torn ligaments in his elbows and especially his knees. He had to win a Major with a Torn ACL. Only a couple of people in history have won a Major past 40 and it happens to be the all-time greats (including himself literally only as of last week). His existence ramped up the physicality of the sport, to the point that now the field is loaded with a bunch of young guns and the old guard is fading away. If you try and play with no physicality your accuracy and precision has to be absolutely SUPREME. There is a legitimate distinction in golf on power and force. One who hits less hard give up chances to get Eagles and Birdies on long holes. Some Par 5s if you don’t have the strength you’re forced to settle for par whereas stronger golfers can go for Eagles. On that very precipice you’re giving up 2 strokes just on sheer strength. If you make the cut, multiply that 4 times for each time you see it in a tournament. That’s 8 strokes you’re giving up.
You want to hate golf, that’s fine. I don’t really care, it truly IS a boring spectator spectacle outside of the Final Day and even that’s pushing it. But saying that it’s not a sport and is easy for anyone to play is of such immense stupidity that it’s honestly insulting. ANYTHING is easy if you do it casually. But at the professional level you WILL feel the difference between a golfer’s strength, you will feel the difference between their precision and accuracy. Just like how no one can drive to the basket like LeBron James, no one can shoot 3s like Stephen Curry. No one could touch Tiger Woods in his prime at driving the ball outside of maybe Daly but Daly literally had no other ability besides Driving whereas Tiger could do it all. No one is as surgical on the course as Ben Hogan was. So yes, there is a difference in actual training and physicality.
If you think I’m wrong, and I’m sure you’re dumb enough to argue otherwise, go play 18 rounds 4 days in a row with no golf cart. Sounds fucking easy until you actually go through with it.
If you think golf has no physicality, go try and hit a golf ball 350+ yards off the tee. It requires near superhuman strength AND coordination because you have to wreach your back around and creat a whiplike effect as you hit the ball… which is the reason why tiger has had so many back surgeries… he was the best at creating that whip effect and it punished his back something fierce because people, literally, aren’t meant to be dealing with those kinds of forces and motion in their backs.
If Golf was so easy you wouldn’t have so many people caking as golf coaches.
Golf swing motions are very precarious things. It’s kind of like playing the violin, random bad posture somewhere is going to mess up your outcomes something fierce.
I like how even after I state otherwise multiple times, you guys continue to pigeonhole me into a positions I wasn’t holding.
But like i said its whatever to me. Keep posting about it if you care that much. I tapped out like 2-3 hrs ago.
If I’m reading you correctly, the crux of your argument is that it’s only a “sport” or a “true” sport if there is physical confrontation based around some form of touch… or simultaneous motions of some sort… well there’s a phrase for this “full contact sports” no one in here is suggesting that golf or video games or chess or whatever is a full contact sport… they certainly ARE NOT. But… they are certainly still sports once people start training in and practicing them and getting paid to compete against others.
I don’t think it necessarily needs to be full contact, but there’s gotta be some sort of strategic interaction and high level of physicality.
What I find silly is that any one competitive activity somehow being lesser for not being a sport. I don’t think competitive M:TG, chess, dominoes or fighting games are less valid means for competition because they aren’t a sport.
Soccer/futbol, literally the most popular sport in the entire world, only has incidental contact at most. Anything beyond that usually gets your ass a Yellow Card. Baseball outright eliminated the only source of actual contact it had by forbidding home plate collisions.
Vhozite is a damn clown.
Next time stay tapped out from the very start and don’t be an ignorant tool.
I would tell you to learn how to read but its clear from the way you play SF you are incapable. You cherry picked part of my post and defeated a bunch of points I didn’t even make, then only grew balls after I admitted defeat several hours later.
Keep my name out of your mouth.
Whew I let Saitsu get to me. I gotta chill and take my L like a man. Got me tryna edit in some good insults.
We should all just play Mugen which is the one true sport
Mugen brought to us Street Fighter Perfect after all, what else could you ask for?
A good insult takes time homie.
Plan your assault then go for the jugular!
I know you’re reactions are bad but goddamn, that shit bleeds into your shit talking too?
Dime so old, he was talking shit to Jesus while he was dragging the cross.
No, I’ll take the L, I had no reason to go that hard to begin with but I was admittedly pissed.
What
Damn
LOOOOOL, don’t turn this into “is this a sport” thing…
chess.com has like 100 (exaggeration but still) threads on this…
Pertho so dumb he thought a threesome was fourplay
so this place turned now into gd talk2.0…not sure if its a better or worse version of the original
Other animals do not have culture as far as I am aware.
