You actually sort of touch on another problem i have with it. But i don’t like how i can’t try another character in ranked without risking the points i gained from my main.
Like if my Vega is Gold and my Ibuki is Bronze i can’t ever take her in ranked. I’d for sure like separate ranks for characters.
yeah ranked is just outright a huge step down from IV, which is hard to do. Most FG ranked modes suck, I can’t think any that is good.
No season systems in place, rank disparity is an issue because of low playercount at the higher ranks, no rank on per character basis, you aren’t locked into a set but can leave on 1 win which is really shitty, the point gap between high ranks in SFV is just stupidly large for no apparent reason which inflates the GM pool a shit ton which in turn inflates diamond rank. No. Fucking. Region. Filter.
You can keep picking at bad things about the online in SFV for hours.
I really hope Capcom is looking into some quality of life changes in all of the modes. But realistically if they were we’d have them by now.
I think they should have individual character ranks then if you reach really high rank all your other characters reach a certain baseline.
why ft2 in casual? It’s stupid if I find somebody with a suitable connection or that I really need mu experience with I’m not really getting to run long sets and learn.
-small complaint but the canned messages in lounges suck let me get a keyboard or make my own canned messages. If they really wanna go the extra mile allow voice chat.
IPV4 vs IPV6. There’s router issues with IPV6. Not sure if newer game developers figured out a better way to get around the routing, but Street Fighter 5 was programmed close to that switch. The trash router/modems your ISP gives out are that, trash. I’ve had issues connecting to people in PSN chat until I bought my new router. Same with connecting to people in SF 5. This mismash of trash routers vs good routers hurts this game more than it should. Oh well.
In my experience that is a big factor with this game.
Any game, really, but SFV can be such a test of will to play (and IMO requires such a laser focus) that when you aren’t feeling it, it really resonates. I’ve learned to just put the game down during those times and find something else. Otherwise its like trying to headbutt through a brick wall.
Shit man, if anyone has earned the right to step back you have.
Edit: to your point earlier, what else is there to do but grind Warlord? Play to stay sharp, sure, but that sure does sound like a miserable goal. Reminds me of WoW rep grinds but without having a special mount or anything to show for it.
I’m taking an extended hiatus from the game, I got the game for PS4 last week and I just hated every minute. Was just throwing games because I wanted to match my PC account but couldn’t be arsed to play the game.
doesn’t a better router just affect wifi connections? Just hardwire and you’re fine, most ISPs deliver good modern routers for you as part of the package.
This shit speaks to me and it’s the biggest reason I fell off ranked so hard.
Playing Sakura I run into a slew of shit matchups. Cool I’ll play boxer. Well shit I just had to fight gief 6 times in a row followed by Mika, 3 Lauras and 2 Karins. Fuck this shit, let me fucking switch.
